Easy....rely on "charity"....lol...

Nobody on this board is advocating ZERO taxes. Why do you continue to peddle a phony premise? Is your position so untenable that you need to descend to non sequitors in an effort to mask your failed arguments?

I will ask you the same question I asked Desh before she ran off in shame.

What do you think YOUR highest tax rate should be? At what point could the government continue to take more and more of your earnings where you would say "FUCK THAT!"? What percentage would that be?

A percentage high enough to get shit done and keep our safety nets intact, but low enough to keep money in people's pockets so they can keep our consumer based economy rolling. A good start would be to take away the tot of government to Defense Contractors. I forget the number....I think it's something like 3-5000 M1 Abrams Tanks we have sitting...not doing ANYTHING. The US Army says "we don't NEED anymore....but guess what? They're getting them whether they want them or not.

How about a specific number puddin? Would you be willing to give 70% of your money to the gobblement for all of those things? 80%? 90%

What is the number? Why won't you pick a number? Scared?

nobody's scared of anything here. Haggling and bartering and wrangling about issues such as marginal income tax rates are what we have expected our politicians to DO in Washington and it is what they HAVE done with varying degrees of success. When I was growing up, my father was in the 90% tax bracket. Then it went a lot lower and then a little higher and then lower again and it's done that pretty much nonstop since income tax was instituted.

So you have to be an economist to tell me what percentage of YOUR money you would bitch about having taken from you by the federal gobblement? You need an economist to tell you that? It really is an easy question. Maybe you didn't understand it.

Let me try this another way as I am here to help low information voters like yourself.

You have stated on many equations that you earn $110,000 a year between you and your wife. Out of that $110,000 how much of it should go to the federal government to fund all of those "social safety nets" you care so much about?

$15,000?
$20,000?
$30,000?
$35,000?
$40,000?
$50,000?
$60,000?
$70,000?
$80,000?
$90,000?

How much of that $110,000 do you consider "your fair share"?

I am not arguing about "marginal tax rates". And I am glad that you grew up as a 1%er.

No, the question is what percentage of your income do you think you should pay in taxes. 20%? 30%? 40%?

It is amazing, whenever the issue of taxes come up, all liberals crow "I want to pay more in taxes to pay for the social safety net". But, the minute you ask them how much they think they should pay and try to pin them down on a number, their testicles shrink up inside their pelvis and all of a sudden they aren't "economists" and/or "politicians".

Very funny stuff. You are all the same. No critical thinking skills, just spouting off liberal talking points

clearly, the answer would depend upon what sort of a return in domestic tranquility one might receive.

For people who claim to be so smart, you sure don't want to answer a very simple and basic question. I obviously know why. You are scared to because in doing so, it would force you out of the shadows and you couldn't hide behind your bullshit platitudes.

and to suggest that any intelligent person could answer that question without knowing the extent of such a safety net is laughable.

the question is woefully inadequate. If it were adequate, it would be anything but simple.

I'd be cool with letting the Bush tax cuts expire on me. That would probably put us around the $35k range.

How about those tanks? Oh yeah...I forgot, with low information.voters like yourself, the Defense Budget is off limits.

You really can't answer how much you think the government should take from you no matter what? Apparently you think that if they promise you housing, food, vacations, healthcare, they can have it all. That seems to be your underlying premise.

You dear sir are a DUMB FUCK
