He Went There

This is another cheap shot.

It astounds me how you progressives go to these debts in order to conduct your Christian bashing, pseudo intellectual funfests.

This is a non important topic based on the comments of a person that you detest. And it generates as much interest as taking the garbage out or brushing one's teeth.

So what?

This is another post entirely without merit, posted purely in a pejorative manner.

I see this topic as the same as those of your ilk posting threads about the First Lady having a fat ass, or the posts blaming libs or neocons for one issue or another (when it is the entire system that has screwed up).

I also see Pat's comments as the equivalent of the libs jumping out after the Sandy Hook murders and using the tragedy for political gain. This idea that prayer could have stopped a tornado or that natural disasters are punishment from God is simply an attempt to gain publicity and regain a measure of the control they and their minions enjoyed for far too long.

Tell you what. Unsig me.

Go whine to the mods PissYurt.

You were good up to there. A more compelling argument could be made that libs reacted by wanting new legislation aimed to decrease more mass slaughters of innocent children and the NRA types overreacted thinking they were going to lose all their precious guns.

Wanting to save lives isn't a bad thing, childish tantrums designed to increase the fortunes of the gun lobby and NRA are.

Let's say for a second that Robertson is right....why does God "punish" the Bible belt so horrifically with these tornadoes? Maybe it's because Conservatism and their worship of money and power is an abomination to God?

Hey....just sayin'

The irony is palpable. What you two are doing is no more than the bullying you claim to stand against. Going out of your way to misquote somebody and sigging while hiding behind an ignore list.

Its a reflection of your policies and just how corupt they are. And you wont even compromise .

When the chips are down and there's nowhere else to turn, most people turn to God or in this case knowing how progressives feel about God as being anti intellectual except Howey's weird God they turn to the G word.

They turn to the G word on the battlefield in a fox hole or they turn to the G word on the deck of the Titanic with all the life boats gone and facing icy north atlantic deaths or they turn to the G word when facing a roaring tornado that's about to consume them.

The people who dismiss this and scoff at those who pray when facing these staring death in the face situations explaining it never reverses what's about to happen so it's ignorant and anti intellectual only do this as a means of religious bashing such as on this thread.

Who's scoffing at prayer? Certainly not me. I'm scoffing at the idea that God is punishing us with tornadoes, hurricanes and the like. I also scoff at the conspiracy theorist that say Obama turned a."weather weapon" on OK to detract from scandal.
