He Went There

My God believes in forgiveness, turning the other cheek and letting those without sin casting the first stone.

If your God is more like the Old Testament God, then it's no wonder you don't mind seeing people work hard for next to nothing and require government to subsidize their lives....or I should say....the.lives.of the cheapskates that pay them such a shitty wage.

Workers earn a wage based on the work they do, the quality, and the availability of replacement labour. the laws economics are impartial. We all get dealt our hand and then we chose what we do with it. The only way to ensure 'equality' would be to take a new generation of children away from all familial influence.

Heh, I think Im probably the poorest poster here.

Workers make businessmen very wealthy....they ought to be paid.enough to live in their own country without having to accept handouts from government or anyone else.

That's not what the right wing loon at untoward says...he said that.the tornado in OK was probably a "weather weapon" used to take the media's eye away from scandals.

So what?

Can you prove that tornados are not an act of God?

Maybe they are or maybe God can't control the weather. The point here is that nobody can control nature's powerful forces so why the excuse to slam the people you consider anti intellectual and inferior to yourself with this hit post?

Have you ever thought earnestly?

Ahh even on this fancy new phone and its different controlls I thought I saw this.

Tell me why someone who made such a big stink about adding me to his ignore list is
A) quoting me
B) sigging me, and from a time he was inactive on the forum.
C) posting a reply to a benign question in a malevolent manner.

Not.untoward....infowars....sorry...spellcheck. but apparently Alex Jones thinks we can control the weather...and in fact thinks we did.

I'm waiting for Howey to conjure up a real nice day tomorrow .. sunny .. high about 80 .. low overnight about 60 .. light winds ... lots of blue skies .. low humidity.

Howey is so special, he can do anything.

I got as close as I could.

Oh, and thanks for the new quote thingy!

Well now you hurt my feelings.

And you know how we liberals feel about feelings.

I hope a tornado gets you and carries you off to never never land where a beautiful woman who looks like Howey with a wig on torments you for ever and ever with no hole between her lovelies.

That is exactly what is already happening to me.

Is it;
a. Because you are an idiot?
b. Because you are an asshole?
C. because you are a young conservative who needs schooling desperately, but is too closeminded to be schooled?
d. All of the above.

Well my God is more like the Old Testament God. Hard work is its own reward and merit is as important as opportunity.
I was in the path of a tornado with four other people. Two of them prayed, I was to busy trying to save my ass to pray. It didn't matter, we were hit by the tornado faster than you could say "Hail Mary!".

I do....Christocapitalist disgust me. As George Burn said in the "Oh God" movie "If you want to get rich, use someone elses name!"

Well that's a new term...at least to me..Christocapitalist. I like it.

Christ would never approve of a system that makes so few so incredibly wealthy and so many scraping for what's left over....actually, that goes beyond economic systems...because the practical.application of Communism that we've seen thus far really isn't any better...it's just diverted into different hands.

I happen to believe a system that combines the wealth potential of Capitalism with the mercy that Socialism shows to the masses is the the best. Sure....rich folk will bitch and moan about taxes and regulation and wages paid, and the poor will feel like they don't have enough...but the truth is, if someone in a situation where basic needs are taken care of can't get beyond basic needs....then the fault lies with them. Intellect and drive mean something too....means a lot actually. But, I'm sorry....we are the richest country in the world, if we can't keep our citizens indoors and with food in their stomachs...there's something wrong....even people who are dumber than a bag of hammers...even.people who want to skate on the basics....if they're working full time, that shit should be a no brainer.

The issue I have is the crazy...RIDICULOUS fight we continue to have on basic needs.....housing, food, medical care, clothing...etc....Those types of things should not even be an issue to someone who's is working full time.

The fundamental flaw in systems other than capitalism is that people figure out they can get without working. That requires that someone work hard and have a significant portion of what they earn taken away by force and given to others. Now if those others are invalids, the sick or the elderly, few people have problems with that. But supporting a healthy population will always be the downfall of those systems. The workers will stop voluntarily working and have to be forced.

Well....that may be true to one extent or another...that's why I said that the poor will never feel that they have enough in my post.

There are basic needs that all humans share...shelter, fresh water, food and medical attention when sick.....shelter....in our modern world includes basic utilities like electric, heat, AC in the Deep South, and a means of communication. If one is working even the LEAST of full time jobs....those needs should be met. If a couple is working two part time jobs, those needs should be met.

And how much one gets paid to.meet those.needs is VERY much dependent on where one lives. For instance, if you live in a big city...obviously the cost of living is much higher than a rural community.

For those who are able bodied and choose not to work? Which, BTW is a very small segment of our society....I propose this.....bring back the WPA and the CCC that FDR created. Let those people work on our infrastructure that is crumbling around us.....for the benefits they currently receive....no more, no less. Sure...it's going to take.investement to train and supervise them....but guess what? The vast majority of them will have marketable skills coming out of it, our infrastructure will be improved, and that improved infrastructure will make commerce more efficient.

Capitalism in and of itself is not a bad economic system. History has proven it works. It's unregulated or lazzies-faire capitalism with it's serious social inequities and it's unreliable boom and bust cycles that doesn't work.

Howey, you're just conducting another one of your homophobe hunts. You need homophobes like the flowers need the rain.

I think you're an evil, hateful person who has a God that you want to destroy people with that you don't like.

You play the homophobe card against everybody and homophobe politicis needs enemies. Without homophobe boogie men, you're nothing.

You'll never accept the fact that some people don't like how you behave regardless of why you behave the way you do and you will use fear and intimidation to control people.

Homosexual politics is big money in this country and it has a big lobby in Washington with lots of corporations in it's back pockets.

This is another cheap shot.

It astounds me how you progressives go to these debts in order to conduct your Christian bashing, pseudo intellectual funfests.

This is a non important topic based on the comments of a person that you detest. And it generates as much interest as taking the garbage out or brushing one's teeth.

So what?
