Christian nutters strike again...

I'm not exactly sure how I (or one) was suppose to find this story. Admittedly I worked all day and went to dinner (with a Giants player who the restaurant comped, it's good to be famous) so I didn't get a chance to look for it but had I found the story I would have disapproved of the parents actions.

I didn't find it, it found me. It was all over our news today. MSM, that is.

Cool stuff. The closest I've ever gotten was when my Mom worked for the Department of Health....she used to Survey Polk Center and there was an Administrator at Polk who lived close to Mark Malone..I was a young teenager....13, I believe and my mom took me along, paid for my room(adjoining door), because it wouldn't have been ethical for me to stay in a hotel paid by taxpayers...and we met up with the administrator after work and we shared a meal with him. It was cool for a 13 year old Steelers fan....even though he never really amounted to anything.

That was the only time I ever met any personality on a personal level. I've been to Latrobe for training camp a few times and spoke some words to some players...and I shook Jack Ham's hand once when.he was at our mall for a signing session....but that's it.

I met Troy Polamalu a few years ago, it was one of the high points of my life!

"Christian nutters strike again..."

With billions of Christians everyday receiving medical treatment, I dont think this has anything to do with Christianity. I cant think of a single verse in the bible that supports such beliefs.

It was a sarcastic counterpoint to all the Muslim hater threads, get with the program. :)

But I CAN think of dozens of verses from the Koran that supports their beliefs that they are to "fight", "kill", "slay" and "smite the necks" of the unbelievers "until religion should only be for allah"

You can't think of one? Oh, come on, if you have really read the Bible you could find one! I will give you a hint Duetoronomy, Psalms and Corinthians.

How about chapter and verse # as opposed to your childish games.

I'm feeling generous, so here is the one verse you said didn't exist

*** They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.* (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

And I can think of dozens of Qur'anic verses, ahadith and study tools that explain the verses in detail and put them in proper context, but most people don't want to hear it.

The mental gymnastics you resort to for the sake of defending that barbarous religion are astonishing. I never see you defend your own supposed religion the same way you defend Islam. If Islam is such a beautiful, peaceful religion, why don't you convert already?

So you say the verses in the Quran about beating women and killing unbelievers are "figurative." What about verses in the Bible about stoning gays, holy bear maulings, and slavery? Are those also figurative?

If this was meant for me ("I never see you defend your own supposed religion the same way you defend Islam"), it's because you're blind in one eye and can't see out the other.

Do you believe verses in the Bible that endorse beating slaves and killing gays are figurative? If not, then you are applying a higher standard to the Quran than your own supposed scriptures.

Not the sharpest crayon in the box. You were supposed to be looking for verses that support these parents refusal to accept medical treatment....... or is that why you wanted to change the topic. And christians have the new testament.

Ephesians 2

15by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations.

Hebrews 8

13By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.

Romans 10

4Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

Romans 7

6But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

2 Corinthians 3

13We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.Galatians 3

13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

23Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. 24So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ[h] that we might be justified by faith. 25Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law.

And Ive encountered them all. Through tortured and twisted interpretations one can make the words mean anything they like. Unfortunately it is the islamic fundamentalist that follow a strict literal interpretations who arent swayed by the tortured and twisted interpretations.

Clearly the Schaibles are using tortured and twisted interpretation of the Bible to justify letting two of their children die. And read this forum to see how posters twist Scripture to justify their political views and various bigotries. You've probably read stories about parents who disown their kids if they're gay, how does that correlate with the teachings of Jesus? And that's only one example.

I didn't the one you mention but I just did see one from a pinhead that said Republicans were not Christians....and a bunch of other pinheads agreed,
So you're absolutely right.
