Colorado hipsters will buy 2 million ounces in 2014

You can't prove they didn't buy, which I don't care!
Do you know what barriers to entry means?

Again, you are the one making cryptic assertions. The burden of proof is on you. There was no proof of any large land buys in the area and that would be evident if it had happened.

Of course, I know what "barriers to entry" means.

I'm sticking with big tabacco moves in upon legalization, it's common sense.
It does appear the the land claim was bluster, it's irrelevant in the big picture.

I would agree that big tobacco would be a natural to take on the market. It is pretty obvious. But it has not happened. The rumors are just run-of-the-mill nutbag conspiracy stuff promoted by the opponents of legalization, who the link shows blatantly lied about several points. Big tobacco has a negative image which the opponents to 19 tried to exploit and that may be why big tobacco has kept their distance.

Big tabacco funds anti pot groups!
Because its a threat
They'd be retarded not to get in once legal!
Investing now is worse than gambling.

How is it a threat? THC and nicotine are two different drugs. THC is 100% recreational/medical....Nicotine is physically addictive...extremely so.

I really wouldn't want to see tobacco manufacture marijuana. I could see them adding shit to it to turn it into a habit forming substance. Phillip Morris soaks their Marlboro tobacco in ammonia because it causes the nicotine to be absorbed into the bloodstream faster.

1 in the pot legalize movement it's well documented paid shills against are pharma, tabacco and alchohal.

If I'm Altria I don't want some guy to be able to switch from life threading cigs to happy buzzy dangerous as desert cigs.

Oh....I wasn't doubting it...but I don't see how it's competition. THC doesn't decrease the cravings for nicotine...at least it didn't in my experience.

It can help in quitting cigarettes. The sensation of filling your lungs and all the other parts of smoking pot can replace the ritualistic habit forming parts of cigarette smoking.

I think it will cut into alcohol most but there really is not that much opposition outside of idiot social conservatives who are still fighting the culture wars of the 60s.

Interesting conversation ..

Medical marijuana may help people quit tobacco

When people quit or try to quit cigarettes, cigars, or chewing tobacco, they are hit with cravings and powerful withdrawal symptoms such as headaches, interruption of sleep and eating habits, irritability, tension, stress and the desire for a break, for routines, and for comfort.

Considering the misery of quitting tobacco, a short-term cannabis replacement may make sense for certain individuals trying to change their behavior. Cannabis can provide them with feelings of relaxation. Users report that it helps reduce stress and improves mood, can help with sleep issues and irritability, and may reduce the thoughts that lead to cravings.

In addition, the act of consumption — the behavior ‘ritual’ of holding or rolling a tobacco cigarette — can be replaced with a much less harmful substance.

There are plenty of anecdotes of people using cannabis to help them reduce or quit the use of tobacco. One patient reports, “I used low-grade pot to help me when I got an urge. I found that if I took a hit or two off a joint it really helped with cravings.” Another states, “I ate a cannabis edible every morning and early evening and that really helped me quit.”

Patient descriptions highlight various strategies such as, “I bought a bag of shake and chained-smoked cannabis instead of cigarettes. After a week, it got old and I cut way down on the cannabis. It especially helped me to get through the first cranky week of quitting.” Or, “At first I would use a one-hitter that looked just like a cigarette to smoke cannabis whenever I craved a cigarette. After a few weeks, just holding the one-hitter in my mouth and hand and acting like I was going to smoke helped. The thing I liked about the one-hitter is that I used less cannabis than a joint, so it was more feasible for me to use it more frequently.”

I'm never bored when I'm high!
I'm always high.
Jah rastafari

I quit because every time I smoked it...I got paranoid almost to the point of panic attack symptoms....It wasn't much fun after that. Perhaps if I combined it with an Ativan or something...I don't know.

My experience is herb enhances what you are already feeling, though most rasta's would never push one to overstand herb!
