To bolster the story, Republicans misquoted or significantly embellished the emails officials used to draft Rice’s remarks, the CBS Evening News reported Thursday.

CBS News’ Major Garrett confirmed that it was a GOP source who leaked the altered emails.

The miscast quotes affect at least two emails that include a State Department spokesperson and a White House deputy adviser — the two parties GOP lawmakers insist were trying to engage a cover-up on behalf of the Obama administration to protect the president’s chances of re-election.

Thinking back on Banghazi I remember the CIA or some specialized branch "completely swept" the facility before media could come in. I remember that Fox
News found a few papers with nearly no burn marks from the fight that burnt EVERYTHING and also the "specialized team" didn't find.

What would be the purpose of altering emails when the originals would be available for anyone to read.....?

If we knew the answer to that question we'd know why the right, particularly Breitbard, WND, Drudge and others, do it all the time.

My thoughts? Because they knew when their idiot readers read it, they'll think it's true and are too stupid to find out otherwise.

Don't talk stupid....the original emails were gonna come out in a matter of hours or days, its not matter of 'their' readers believing it....

Even 'YOUR' idiots would see any changes in 3 seconds.....its purely bogus and quite telling that you believe it as a matter course...the
