Do you know why the Norwegian colonies disappeared? Oh yeah, because the little ice age enveloped Greenland. Now as the cycle continues, it is warming back up. Why is it that people like you focus on the past 100 years rather than at the longer term history? It was warmer prior to the little Ice age, now it is returning to where it was. Yet you just want to focus on the fact that it has melted.
Also... the earth has indeed warmed over the past 50 years. No one is suggesting that it hasn't. It is the mantra of the fear mongers to pretend that those who state the computer models have failed to show MAN is CAUSING the warming somehow equates to 'the Earth hasn't warmed'. That is not the case. It is the arrogance of people like you who think that we somehow have magically become endowed to control nature. We should, as I stated, do everything we can to protect the environment. However, we are wasting a lot of money trying to prove the fear mongers claims of man being the cause of the warming. You look to the past 15 years and there is not much increase in global temperatures. It has stayed warm to be sure, but the increase has ceased (at least for now) despite the rise in CO2. When this is pointed out to the fear mongers like you, you run around shouting 'the ice is melting!!!'.
What did Greenland look like back in the 1400's? What about the Arctic?
