I love the way the people who say that they don't need to be "forced" to do the right thing, are the same people who denigrates the poor as being lazy and only "worth" what the "benevolent" businessman says he/she's worth....fuck 'em if they can't feed their families.

The government is not the appropriate tool to ensure people follow religious edicts. If you want to give money and follow the Pope give.

Are you talking personally? I give food and clothing to a local homeless shelter called Haven Ministries. I also volunteer at the local Red Cross....and I've pounded a few nails for Habitat....

Yeah, I've spent my entire life working with SVDP, and now I'm with the Knights as well. Also a regular blood donor, etc. Habitat sounds like something I'd like to get involved with someday. Right now all of my financial stuff goes to where I mentioned, but I'd like to expand it to Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, and Salvation Army.

money is a fiction and has no real value, or at least no value that we do not give it

as for the progressive 'cult' on money, it is not that we wish to 'punish' the creative people that initially 'earn' a lot of money, but that a portion of that money should go to providing for those that are willing to work but can find no work due to an 'economic downturn' usually engineered by crooks or the undeserving offspring of the original creators that take a free ride on their parents wealth or if they have any sense invest the money and live on the earnings

as for 'rewarding' people for not working, surely you jest. have you ever tried to 'live' on welfare or unemployment insurance? it is no joy ride

1) I was raised Catholic, I am not making sweeping generalizations against all Catholics. I am stating that the Catholic Church leaders (of which the current and past two popes were a part) protected the child molesting priests. I find it abhorrent that they did so and it is the main reason I left the Catholic church.

2) A child molesting priest protector is how I describe those cowards that run the Catholic church. They should have booted the molesters from the priesthood and turned them over to the authorities. Instead they moved them from parish to parish and let them continue violating kids.

3) I think they should live in modesty. Not in some grand palace.

4) I can't know what the future holds for their money, but until they do something, I will continue to hold the leaders in contempt.

Do you remember their hate campaign against the USA when the us military committed billions to the rescue of the Hatian people after the recent earthquake?

USA sent hundreds of Drs, nurses, paramedics, rescue workers, food , clean water etcetc etc and made a massive difference to the relief effort.

I always worked, the welfarites I see don't look hungry.
They look fat and comfortable
They live better than many of my staff.
 
I think they should live modestly too. I am kinda thrown because I agree with an SF post. I have been having headaches lately though? In other words, agreeing with SF is the 2nd symptom. I better get to the doctor.

Did the POPE release this list? Is this list from the Vatican? Fuck no! The Catholic Church is STILL hiding these child molesters. If you are going to criticize me, make sure your point REFUTES mine.
