Alleged drunk driver crashes into Bellmore home

BELLMORE, N.Y. (WABC) -- A Bellmore man is charged with drunk driving after his car crashed into a house on Long Island.

The car rammed into a home on St. Marks Avenue in Bellmore, just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Nassau County police arrested the driver, 30-year old Matthew Knee, and charged him with Reckless Assault Third Degree and Driving While Intoxicated.

Knee and his 51-year old male passenger were taken to an area hospital and treated for head injuries.
 
I'll assume your uneducated response will be "what law kept them from the accident" and my response will be "what law has ever kept anyone from breaking that particular law"

ALL laws are "feel good measures" and all laws lower crime rates in their area. NO LAWS have 100% stopped criminals from breaking them.

Or maybe you can explain the difference between one law being broken vs. other laws.

Or maybe the only laws that matter are the ones that prevent you from breaking them?

Kid.........EVERYONE knows that you can get a gun at a gun show through a loophole. This new "phase" of idiots stating you can't is exactly that...a phase. I have a friend who knows more about this than me..

"Lets talk about what's reasonable....and what is not.........WE think it's reasonable to provide MANDATORY INSTANT CRIMINAL background checks for EVERY sale, at EVERY gun show.......no LOOPHOLES, ANYWHERE for ANYONE."

I don't understand why you're so argumentative, about this.
You want to close one loophole and I want to close a different one.
Don't you care about the children and innocent DUI victims?

Does this mean that you're on board with closing the vehicular loophole that gives drivers the ability to circumvent the DUI laws?

At what point did I choose one perspective over another.....that isn't what I do......I use my OWN brain..........I don't repeat what a party tells me to repeat...

I would have to research your drunk driving fines and see if I agreed with the outcome. It's what the American people do. They don't repeat what they are told to repeat by Fox News. They stand up strong and fight the people that oppose them. We were specifically told to adapt with time...........but Corporations dictate America.

I'm ashamed that you don't care about the innocents being killed by the DUI drivers and it must be because so many of them are liberals and want to emulate Kennedy.

You are obviously projecting your own criminal activity, on others; because I have never received a DUI or a fine for doing such.
It is amusing when you parrot the liberal party talking points and then accuse others of repeating what you feel they've been told to say. :)
