Keep It Classy There, NRA!

Among the many things sold at the NRA convention this past weekend was this, displayed for the first two days, then taken down the afternoon of the last day; although still available for sale.

Now what were the racist right wingers on here saying it has nothing to do with race?

The NRA has asked vendor Zombie Industries to remove one of its three-dimensional, “life sized” shooting targets from an NRA convention in Houston because of the target’s uncanny resemblance to President Barack Obama. The particular model, pictured above, is reminiscent of the “History Channel’s” Satan, dubbed “Obama Satan” by conservatives for the devil’s resemblance to the president.

Sources at the conference spoke to BuzzFeed:

“Someone from the NRA came by and asked us to remove it” a Zombie Industries booth worker told BuzzFeed in hushed tones. “They thought it looked too much like President Obama.”

When asked if the Obama likeness was intentional the worker said, “Let’s just say I gave my Republican father one for Christmas.”

“They are just scared some liberal reporter will come by and start bitching” another booth worker said to men gathered around the booth. “But ya know, he does look very familiar.”

BuzzFeed notes that although the target has been removed from the display, it is still available for purchase at the booth. Other models, which “bleed when you shoot them,” include a clown named BoBo, a terrorist dressed as Osama bin Laden and a Nazi.

Targets that bleed, that is deranged.

RazorX posted a picture of it in another thread and I don't see what race has to do with it. I'm not going to sit here and say shooting targets of the President is a classy act because it's not but I also don't see why the race card is being played here.

Yeah...RacistX posts stuff because he's not a racist. **rollseyes**

My post is not about razorx, it's about NRA convention and the shooting of a target that supposedly resembled Obama. I looked at the target, there is nothing racist about it.

Did you hear Sarah Palin is now pro-tobacco.

Didn't you say he posted the pic elsewhere? Has he ever posted anything on here that's not racist?

First , let me say, I don't even own any guns. Had a bb gun once. Make that a pellet gun. I lived on a lake and I would shoot dragonflies out of the air with bbs . I once hit a dragonfly so perfectly it exploded and made a rather loud popping sound. LOL

So perhaps I'm geneticly similar to people who get their jollies out of shooting things. I was into it when I was younger. But once I had a bit of a spiritual re-awakening (gave up catholic relifgion at age 12, atheist until age 35 when I discovered how little we really knew about this universe) I no longer had any desire to destroy things.

Maybe guns as a recreational sport is a an immature activity. Destroying things. Think about it.

I'm drunk and rambling on the interwebz!!!11 lolz

So pot is cool, toke up all day every day, but tobacco is a mortal sin?

No...the issue with tobacco is the way it was marketed, the things tobacco companies add to it to make it more addictive, and the incredibly addictive nature of it in it's natural state.

People kick heroin more successfully than tobacco.

Funny, I seem to remember smoking being a choice and an activity that many enjoy.

And maybe it was a tin of candy or mints....you asshole.

No, it was a prop she was using to ridicule Bloomberg's new tobacco policies.

The ironic thing, I guess Palin forgot her work as Gov. to curb smoking in the Native Alaskans. Lol
