Does Everyone Have The Nerve To Shoot a Gun?

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

whereas ILA would be in a jail cell right now. Liberalism wins again. I should be a liberal.

ILA's spewing more bile? Lol...he needs to be in a cell with Tyrone. Tyrone will please him in ways he's only dreamed of.

Btw...is it a bannable offense to take someone off mod-initiated IA?

Lo, no don't change, don't ever change, oh, wait, unfortunately you might, age has a tendency to do that.

Hell, I used to be a lot more conservative. Ppl mellow with age.

What would you recommend? Just hope he doesn't kill her?

It's not just about getting away. It's about having a plan for the future... job, place to live, counseling, safety. Battered women use all their energy just getting through the day. The biggest chance they have of getting killed by the abuser is within the first three weeks of leaving.

If that is what actually happens, then my pity and concern for her gets considerably less.....this is a perfect chance to do something to save herself from the
abuse....she must start defending herself.....must.

Do you know why this happens? "She goes down to the jail the following day and bails him out, does not files charges because she loves him."

Because after he's exhausted his rage by beating on her, he gets tearful and apologetic and promises to never, ever do it again. He says he'll never love another woman like he loves her. He says God should strike him dead if he ever lays a hand on her again. He begs for just one more chance.

I hope your anger at the perp grows considerably more when you learn the lying tactics he uses to bring the victim back under his thumb.

I have seen it happen twice now. They somehow justify it by the fact that they love the guy and that because he is nice 95% of the time, it must be something they are doing wrong. Because the guy loves them and all. I don't get it either, but I have seen it happen to two intelligent women. I don't understand the psychological portion of it, but it so unbelievably real. Not sure how it happens either, but it is permanent... or at least that is my impression based on how my sister reacted to the same situation happening with her daughter. My sister has fallen back into the 'he really loves her and is nice most of the time, he won't do it again' line of crap.

My sister was a nurse for 15 years... she saw this shit at work... she could see what the other women should have done, but still couldn't see it in her own relationship (nor can she see it in her daughters).

I'm beyond shocked that your sister's putting the pos's welfare over her own daughter's. Did I read your post right?

I saw this a lot when I worked for the state nursing board. A good number of nurses end up in abusive relationships. It's called the Florence Nightengale Syndrome...they feel the need to "fix" someone.

Great. Maybe she'll be free to consider her options now that he's not breathing down her neck.

Yeah...like 10 - 15 years. I hope the fucker rots in jail.

Let me guess... your feelings got hurt? It is precisely what happened to my ex brother in law. You can choose to not put yourself at risk. For a friend/family member in that position I choose to take the risk. Especially if I feel their life is in danger.

Odd how Howey would bring up beating dicks; especially since it's known that he's willing to beat any dick that he can get his hands on. :)

Me, too. Dies there, even.

So let's review. First you are a sexist. Now you show off your racist tendencies with the "Tyrone" comment.

Liberals are a funny lot. Poor Howey.

I am a lot more mellow as well, in some ways. :)

Christie, thank you, powerfully written description.
