8th grader suspended and arrested for wearing an NRA t-shirt??

Che t-shirts were banned at the olympics. This movement against political expression is quite something...

which is equally retarded... if people want to wear shirts depicting Manson, Bundy, Che, etc... they should be free to do so. Just as a kid in the US should be able to wear a shirt supporting the NRA.

Unfortunately too many sheep in this country think the school admin and teachers get to do whatever they want under the auspice of authority.

Teachers are an authority figure. That's what's wrong with teabagger kids like this little schmuck. They're taught teachers are union scum by their parents and to not respect them.

A few points nobody's responded to...

a. This six foot tall kid is 14 and in the 8th grade? What is that, like two years behind? Why don't his parents concentrate on his education and not whether he "makes a statement"?

b. Where's the video promised? As of last Friday, he's disappeared from his stepfather's FB page and his FB page has disappeared. Coincidentally, he, his parents, lawyer (a social security lawyer unable to handle the case btw...and a former loser of a School Board election...no sour grapes there, huh?...met with the School Board last Friday.

Nothing, zero, zip, nada...

This is beginning to look like the Allen Coon case from last year and I called it right off. 15 minutes of right wing fame and the truth comes out. The kid made an ass of himself.

btw...before everything disappeared the other day, he posted that the day of the incident a group of kids he hung with started jumping on the chairs in the lunchroom yelling "Jarod! Jarod" and banging plates when the teacher told him to turn his shirt inside out.

If that's not creating a disturbance, I don't know what is...

Funny, it is usually in response to parents complaining that rules are made about apparel, not authoritarian school personel.

Teachers are an authority figure.

Being an authority figure does not give a person the right to abuse said authority or violate someone else's rights... even if it is just a kid.

That's what's wrong with teabagger kids like this little schmuck. They're taught teachers are union scum by their parents and to not respect them.

Obviously the teacher proved unworthy of respect.

1) Where did you read he was six feet tall?
2) That is not unusual... I was 5'10" and not the tallest in my class in 8th grade.
3) You are simply showing your hatred and intolerance for those different than you. You want to disparage him and make assumptions about his education because he is tall??? How fucking pathetic are you?
4) 14 in 8th, 15 in 9th, 16th in 10th, 17 in 11th, 18 in 12th... yeah... that is highly uncommon... especially over half way through the school year.

b. Where's the video promised? As of last Friday, he's disappeared from his stepfather's FB page and his FB page has disappeared. What video?

As for the FB... not surprising that a kid's parents would take down their childs FB page with all you haters out there. No guessing how much hate filled rhetoric you idiots have already tossed that kids way.

This is beginning to look like the Allen Coon case from last year and I called it right off. 15 minutes of right wing fame and the truth comes out. The kid made an ass of himself.

Link us up... show us what you are referring to.

So again, the teacher created a disturbance. Thanks for confirming that.

He didn't. He did his job.

Obviously the teacher proved unworthy of respect.

WTF does an 8th grader know about who should gain respect? I've already pointed out his teabagger daddy's teaching him this shit.

Were you also two grades behind?

3) You are simply showing your hatred and intolerance for those different than you. You want to disparage him and make assumptions about his education because he is tall??? How fucking pathetic are you?

No. I'm saying the little shit should be more concerned with not having to work in the coal mines like his inbred relatives and concentrate on school as opposed to "making a statement".

What video?

The one his dad promised of the incident.

As for the FB... not surprising that a kid's parents would take down their childs FB page with all you haters out there. No guessing how much hate filled rhetoric you idiots have already tossed that kids way.

Last I looked there was nothing but support for the kid. I'm not like you, I wouldn't post hate on a kid's FB page.

He didn't. He did his job.

No, he did not. He saw a shirt HE didn't like and tried to make the kid turn it inside out. That is NOT his job. The teacher has no right to try and force his political beliefs on to a student.

WTF does an 8th grader know about who should gain respect? I've already pointed out his teabagger daddy's teaching him this shit.

So you are saying you were completely uncouth in 8th grade and had no idea who to respect and who not to?

Also... please show us where you are seeing that his dad is a tea party member.

Also... why did you suddenly stop worrying about the kids age and height? Did you just realize how stupid you were?

4) 14 in 8th, 15 in 9th, 16th in 10th, 17 in 11th, 18 in 12th... yeah... that is highly uncommon... especially over half way through the school year.

Did you graduate high school at 16? Most kids graduate at 17/18 depending on when in the year their birthday is.

No. I'm saying the little shit should be more concerned with not having to work in the coal mines like his inbred relatives and concentrate on school as opposed to "making a statement".

So now you wish to disparage a region of people because you now how ignorant you have been? How very tolerant of you.

The one his dad promised of the incident.

Link?

Last I looked there was nothing but support for the kid. I'm not like you, I wouldn't post hate on a kid's FB page.

Yeah, you would just post your vitriolic bullshit on a message board. Calling him inbred, stupid, etc... yeah... but hate filled assholes like you would never post that on the kids FB site... you are too civilized for that... right?

Huh?

So again, the teacher created a disturbance. Thanks for confirming that.

It's so telling that liberals are supporting what happened. Anyone who support a middle schooler being arrested over an expression of his political views can't possibly call themselves left wing, or libertarian. Thank you conservatives for possessing a shred of reason. And liberals, you know why you keep being accused of supporting police states like Castro's Cuba and Stalin's Russia, right?

Have you bumped your noggin recently?

Have you bumped your noggin recently?

Haha, cute. :cof1:

I might not support the NRA, but I support others' right to support them in public. This was a school, not Auschwitz. At some point, you need to recognize that it doesn't need to be authoritative. That's true about many other aspects of our education system as well.

And, as I've often pointed out, you and I disagreeing is not abnormal. I'm some variant of a libertarian socialist - thought not the usual kind. You're a center left capitalist. We're diametrically opposed to quite a number of things.

Let me repeat...Children do not have any rights in the school environment, other than the right to an education.

Well, you are entitled to your opinion of me, can't change it.

Schools are very authoritarian, they almost have to be. Our local middle schools are about 1,000 students in attendance, that is 1,000 people between the ages of 12-15. I don't know if you have had the opportunity to be around children this age, but it can be very challenging. They smell weakness and you are done for. Lol

LMAO... so they are slaves to the school? The above is exactly the type of nonsense liberals get mocked for... then you whine and cry when it happens because you don't understand why.

It's a case of radicalism. If you go far enough left, and far enough right, the two meet and bump uglies.

So you are saying you were completely uncouth in 8th grade and had no idea who to respect and who not to?

Actually, I was. I went through high school with a 4.0gpa. Never got in trouble. Because I knew my Colonel father would beat the shit out of me.

Also... please show us where you are seeing that his dad is a tea party member.

You'll find his name as a follower of this group. Let me repeat. I don't post anything on this forum I don't already know the answer to.

Also... why did you suddenly stop worrying about the kids age and height? Did you just realize how stupid you were?

Did I? I believe I pointed it out to show he's behind in school.

Did you graduate high school at 16? Most kids graduate at 17/18 depending on when in the year their birthday is.

Yes. I did.

When they don't take advantage of an education, they deserve disparagement. Do you think this kids father wants him to die an early death in the coal mines? Wait. Don't answer that. He obviously does.

You've already been shown several SCOTUS rulings to that effect.

wait, you mean the 2012 Olympics which were held in England where they don't have a US Constitution preserving the right of free speech?.....gosh, that's certainly relevant.....
