Real Gun Control...Chicago Suffering One Shooting Every 6.3 Hours

Every City that Libs control has a high crime rate because Libs are soft on crime, but hard on God fearing honest gun owners, and here is the proof, Chicago is typical of a Lib controlled City that is dangerous to live in, because Libs are taking away all the honest people's guns and leaving them at the mercy of the criminals who do not turn in their guns...... "There have been 441 shootings and 100 homicides in the city of Chicago so far this year, according to a blog that tracks crime in Chicago. That works out to 3.8 shootings per day or approximately one shooting every 6.3 hours."

And this is why every anti-gun person comes out if the woodwork after a tragedy like Sandy Hook. Because we ignore the 30k deaths every year that poor people in the "hoods" of our country go through.
 
What I'm about to say comes form someone who has an FFL, a C&R, a CCW, over 40 guns, is a competitive 3 gun shooter, has the 2nd Amendment tattooed on his forearm, and has been fighting the good fight for civil liberties for about 15 years;

Just shut the fuck up.
 
The bottom line is that until we help make the parts of our country that we choose to ignore viable and safe... you are fighting a losing battle. They will never shut up, and Sandy Hooks will always happen to reignite the fire. You will eventually lose this battle.... and as a gun owner...I don't want you to.

It's like the meineke man says..."you can pay me now, or you can pay me later"

Later is much....MUCH more expensive.

Chicago does not have control over criminal policy. As well, any gun law confined to a locality is easily circumvented by just driving to the next locality. It's pretty much impossible to enforce without hard borders (the effectiveness of the enforcement even with them is debatable itself, of course, but it's at least a starting pointing).

You have just made my long standing point, and that is to crack down on the street gangs, and take their guns away. Do not mess with the honest people's guns, who need protection from those street gangs. There are about 240,000 gang members in the greater Los Angeles area who have guns. After the Rodney( Can't We Just Get Along) King riots ended, they said that next time they would not burn down their community, they would take it to the suburbs...capisce?

You are making a mistake telling these Libs about your guns, because I know a lot of them, how they think and some would turn you into the Feds if they could. Just a friendly reminder boss, and naturally just my opinion. Some on here are as far Left as someone could go without being labeled a Commie. Now, they will try to deny everything, but you just cannot trust some of them, and I am talking from experience, so trust me.

LOL there IS NO FIRE. Most people that favor gun-control do so marginally. only 4% list gun control as their number one issue. With the economy, wars, judicial appointements, abortion, social issues like gay marriage and ending the drug war, immigration etc, gun control will never be near the top. We just had 20 5 year olds shot in the motherfucking face and the political capital didn't even exist for even the tiniest reforms. We are a gun country. Even democrats have loads of guns. There are 300 million guns out in the wild. 3d printing is becoming more and more of a commercial and homeworkshop solution. Guns are here to stay.

The Supreme Court's decision in 2008 firmly established a constitutional right to armed self-defense under the Second Amendment, Posner wrote.

"A right to bear arms thus implies a right to carry a loaded gun outside the home," he wrote.

The law banning concealed weapons was challenged in 2009 by gun rights groups suing on behalf of an Illinois woman violently attacked while volunteering at her church. The suit was funded by the National Rifle Association.

"Today's ruling is a victory for all law-abiding citizens in Illinois and gun owners throughout the country," said Wayne LaPierre, the NRA executive vice president.

The ruling gives the state 180 days to craft a law regulating the carrying of weapons. Many states, like New York and California, severely restrict the issuance of concealed carry permits. Other states, particularly in the West, have virtually no restrictions on such permits.

OK...how do you do that? Violate or suspend posse comitatus and send our troops into the cities rounding up illegal guns? If we were to do that, how do you discern legal guns from illegal without having a registry?....Which I know you oppose because you are so paranoid against your government.

Like I said....it's pay now or later. It could be done without violating any law abiding citizens' rights to have firearms...in fact, it could very well be the path to having your very own .50 cal machine gun if you wanted it.

But you can't have it both ways. You can't "crack down" on illegal weapons in gang possession without knowing who's legal and who's not. Because think about it...not every gang member has a criminal record...what if they stockpiled those illegal weapons in the homes of members or those who are...let's say...sympathetic....to their cause until the search is over? Then, as soon as they move on, the guns come right back.

Unless you're calling for a permanent military presence in our cities....which isn't very American at all.

Too Eastern Bloc. It's better to just exterminate gang bangers as they enter our prisons systems. Making an example out of these hooligans will shut the wannabes right up.

Yeah, killing people based solely on their private affiliations is a great idea. Especially with groups that routinely deal with death as a factor in life anyways.
