the population is fickle. They don't pay attention to this shit, they say yeah yeah and nod their head but they don't really care. If they did, well.... damn, you have an amendment right around the corner. Get to it. If 90% were so passionate about this issue, surely the senators should be feeling the fury of their constituents right about now. What's that? They aren't? No one really cares that much? Yeah, that's what I thought.

How do you know that the next time this comes up, you'll be wishing to God you would have taken Manchin/Toomey?

Like I said in a different thread....keep fucking over the masses, and they will revolt...then your precious Tea Party/Libertarian movement won't have a leg to stand on.

And if you don't think it can happen, take a look at 2010, when Dems had a majority in both houses...what happened then? It can and will swing the other way if you guys keep doubling down on stupid

takers mean many things. It's not just referencing freeloaders. it's about people that want to take rights, take freedom, etc. They never leave you alone, they are like pacman going after the little white dots.

most of the gun grabbers are not as passionate as the gun defenders. It's a net loss to be a gun grabber senator. It wins you vey few points (that you could get somewhere else supporting some other progressive cause) but risks losing a lot of one-issue gun defender voters.
