Now try explaining that to Paul Ryan and all the other idiots who want to take it away from everyone who isn't already receiving it.However, you might want to talk to the millions of people who listened to dimwits like you and trusted their employers/state/municipality to invest their money into 401k's managed by fly by night greedy investors and lost the majority of their savings in 2007 and 08.

It is an entitlement. I have no problem with those who paid into it getting what they are entitled to, and neither does Paul.

Unless you didn't. Then you truly would be on welfare.....after you lost everything you worked for....like your home. Of course you could be a 75 year old cashier at Walmart with arthritis killing your knees and back all day. So if you don't work and save for retirement, invest in a balanced portfolio and purchase insurance to guarantee future income you'll be poor. Imagine that.

Actually it is not an entitlement. The SupremeCourt has ruled numerous times you aren't owed anything. They are and always have been welfare programs. They couldn't be sold that way because even gullible folks like PaperPlate wouldnt have gone for it.

Okay, you do understand that the Republican governor of Michigan has appointed a financial manager specifically for the city of Detroit, right? Something that the Democrats in that city have refused to do for a long, long time. Can you explain why they failed to do that? Was it ego? Was it ignorance? And what would you do? Would you simply have the federal government throw a bucket of money at the Democrat leaders in that city, expecting them to spend it wisely this time? What well and truly sucks is, this whole thing with the special financial manager might not work (and I have a feeling it won't), but regardless of the outcome I can tell you right now that if it does fail, the Republicans will get the blame and if it works, the Democrats will find some way to take the credit. And you can bet your ass the low information idiot Democrats in Detroit will keep on voting Democrat. So who's the real sociopath here?
