Government was invented to help people run society.

One party prefers to support charity privately. Of course, it's still on board with public charities such as SS, Medicare and Medicaid, so I guess the GOP is overall less sociopathic, Desh.

Private charity has NEVER met the need.

anyone who says it should all be done privately just doesnt want the needs met.

How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you start the entire conversation with a false premise? The debate isn't about whether one should help those less in need. It is the Christian thing to do. The question is the morality of using the force and power of the government to confiscates its peoples property against their will to transfer to others. No matter how you dress that up, it is immoral.
 
I think the film did an excellent job of demonstrating that the decades of liberalism following Johnson's innovations have done nothing to help counter poverty......
