Hilarious 'North Korean propaganda' video depicts 'modern America'

It turns out that the North Korean “propaganda” video, which depicts modern-day America as a birdless wasteland where citizens receive rations of coffee made out of snow and sleep in tents, was actually too good to be true and is totally fake.

A British travel writer, Alun Hill, fooled the Internet by completely making up the English narration of the video, which is actually a video from the state-run Korean Central News Agency on the failure of Europe’s democracy, according to the Huffington Post.

Sites including The Daily Caller, the Washington Post, Wired, Yahoo! News, BuzzFeed, Mediaite, The Week and Slate were fooled by Hill’s comedic video that he originally posted on his YouTube page called “North Korea Comedy Show: How Americans Live Today.”

Reminds me of how our country showed the Soviets before that wall came down. Every Russian was a dowdy old stooped man or woman dressed in drab greys and tattered shawls.

?????.....the Huffington site said the video was a fraud because it originally depicted life in Europe instead of life in America.......I'm sure that makes it all better.....the NK's weren't lying about the US, they were lying about Europe.......now you can go back to defending NK.....no worries.....

You are an idiot.

That does not mean that the N Koreans actually said all of those things about europe. The guy made it ALL up and they were pointing out that the video was not even about America.

Should have known, as in one part he claims they were telling their people that we decorated our cities to look like europe.

maybe some day the truth will start drifting accidentally into your mind...(hopefully the shock won't kill you)......can you explain why NK is presenting ANY videos depicting homeless people in Europe when the homeless people in Europe have it better than the majority of citizens in NK?........
