Is Rubio the boy wonder?

Wow, if Rubio is the great hope for the Republican Party... They are in more trouble than I thought.

Come on wacko, he sucked. If he is the shining star for the GOP, well, they are hurting.

Eh, I didn't really have high expectations other than don't blow it. (sounds like he's getting mocked quite a bit for the water bit. remains to be seen if that hurts him long-term.)

I personally don't think he needed to mention God as much as he did, too much pandering IMO, but I definitely like him as a potential Republican leader going forward. (For Jarod, notice I said potential. I'm not calling him boy wonder nor am I putting him on any type of pedestal as some party or country savior.)

This speech doesn't define him to me.

I saw Time magaine's cover that called him the Savior, I guess I was expecting too much!

It was a missed opportunity to make his "mark", but I guess the GOP is settling for lukewarm.

Well considering the next Presidential election is four years what kind of impact did you expect him to make in a SOTU response?

He made his 'mark' at this past year's Republican convention. That elevated him to the level of possible 2016 Republican Presidential nominee.

Real dumb move here. Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell were also naysayers.

"Sen. Marco Rubio was among the 22 GOP senators who voted against reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act – a law that the Florida Republican said he largely supports but couldn’t ultimately vote to renew because of new provisions in the bill."

I got a pop up it passed from Sen. Lisa Murkowski, but didn't know Rubio voted against it, truly not impressed?

Murkowski supported it because it directly affected a great many Alaskan women. We have a high rate of abuse.
