Yes, it is inconvenient for them because they have been brought up to believe that all that has befallen the blacks is rooted in slavery and democrat enforced segregation. Slavery is the original sin for which the left can never do enough penance.

Here is the ironic thing, if slavery is really at the root of what ails the black community today, then how does one explain the much higher illegitimacy rate today than it was in the 1920s, a time much closer to the times of slavery? Why were black families able to stay together then? What changed? You obviously can't blame racism for that can you? Of course not.

How do you explain racism for the underperforming inner city schools? Are white people going into those schools holding up signs saying "Don't study that is acting white", or are black people saying that to other black people?

Much of that is simply a product of the populations. We outnumber blacks by a large margin. Unless a criminal is targeting a specific race,and most of the time they don't, the victim is more likely to be white. That is true regardless of the race of the perpetrator.

One of the problems with american unis that brings them into global disrepute, is the range of 'disciplines' available and the fact that if you are good at throwing a ball you can get a pass. Ipso facto there is a likelyhood that one emerges with a degree, but nothing else.
