What a Stretch!

I've watched them at the gym and see nothing of value that could not be gained in hundreds of other ways.....
but the fact that its organized and structured forces the people paying for the class to participate as a group that would otherwise probably be watching tv
and eating ice cream at home.
Certainly no hint of anything other than exercise at these classes....

I'll stick to yard work, walking and playing golf.....if I'm not too tired.

You will never understand by simply watching a class. Try doing the class, then you may understand. That said, there are many other ways to strengthen the core and gain flexibility, but I doubt you will find too many (other than some forms of martial arts) that are as efficient as yoga.

FWIW, yoga is real helpful with golf. Now I'm not suggesting you need to do yoga but the flexibility you get through yoga translates real well onto the golf course.

It translates to just about every athlete... though golfers are not really athletes... so maybe you were just talking about ordinary people?

greater flexibility allows for the obvious: greater range of motion, but it also helps to prevent injury.

I hear you and agree that one should wait after working out before drinking. However when playing on a team in a league and people go drinking after the game I'm not waiting for anything!

bunch of lolligaggers... if you are talking about softball you damn well better be drinking during the game.

It might be okay if you use Tart Cherry Juice as a mixer. I get the organic one in Whole Foods. You guys should google the benefits, it's awesome. For everyone, but it's great for athletes and anyone who works out. I never mixed with it alcohol though.

At least you don't discriminate. Ohio, USC, golfers... you hate all great things.
