In truth, I don't seek reasoning from either side .. which includes the left that I belong to .. including black people who used to be the most antiwar demographic in America. I don't expect reasoning and I certainly don't expect to change minds. What I expect of myself is to speak truth to politics and power, and to live the principled life.

It's a spiritual thing.

I would be a lot more impressed if Russia Today criticised Putin for once, I watch it fairly regularly and I've never seen them once say anything about him other than he is the best thing since sliced bread. He is running a kleptocracy and suppressing human rights on a grand scale but precious little is said about it. As indeed little is said about the Taliban and their attempt to take over Pakistan and run a theocracy there, if that happens then you will really have something to cry about.

For some of us .. it isn't about the messenger, it's about the message.

If the message is real .. and there are lots of ways to confirm that from other sources .. then what is the point of the messenger?

It disappoints me also,
that blacks, who used to be the most antiwar demographic in America have changed
who used to be so very religious, and who used to be largely against same sex marriage, abortion, etc. have changed.....

But those that have identified themselves as black on this board, have been reasoned debators for the most part. Not necessarily right, but not unreasonable.
