NEWSFLASH: There aren't enough doctors or healthcare professionals for Obamacare

It wasn't meant to, BAC. It literally doesn't even cover the people that Obama said needed coverage when he was running. It doesn't even solve the problem of coverage, let alone the problems of cost.

I had great insurance until Obamacare was signed into law.

A few months later my company did away with it.

Now I'll be forced to pay a fine because I can't afford it.

And again BAC shoots and scores....sorry BAC, but the pinheads just don't get it....and won't get it until the DNC or Huffington, or Rachael Maddow explain it to them
and prove its all Bush's fault.....
The government just don't reimburse the doctors or hospitals enough to make the profession worth the risk or time, so common sense and logic tells us healthcare will
deteriorate further than it already has.....
Three close family are in the field, two being MD's and I hear the complaints, lousy working hours, insane paperwork and bookkeeping, etc....
Some refuse to take on more patients, especially medicare patients....some are into "concierge service" already and others considering it.....
And some considering retirement.....few go into 'family practice' because of the low earnings and low insurance payments....payments that are taking
up to a year to even get and sometimes longer and on a regular basis, its a fight to get paid.

The pinheads will learn the hard way and cause all of to suffer because of their partisan stupidity and obsession with trying socialism....

I think the debt burden will bury us before this gov. healthcare madness will get a chance to....

Pinheads are paying more for a visit from their plumber than they want to pay for a doctors visit....they been brainwashed into thinking healthcare is somehow a
god given right by the socialist Marxists...

People should not make money off of the ill and dying, medicine for profit is why the USA is in such a hurt.

And I thought the gov't was the main problem. Go figure.

Have you made your football picks Rana?

You're close to another first place finish

I would like to see just 1/10th of the effort put into preventative care as we put into medical care.

If we did what we know works to prevent health issues in the first place, we wouldn't need as many doctors.

The Affordable Healthcare Act encourages preventive care. It also has made provision for funds to train more doctors.

Great theory and this is happening. The problem is the Right wing calls preventative care an attack on freedom. Healthier foods in the lunch room, raising taxes on cigarettes and the big soda ban. Clearly there has to be a line drawn though.

The healthy lunch room food is a great idea and should have been done years ago. But the big soda ban was a joke.

But case in point I heard Libertarian talk radio justify that "Less smokers causes health insurance rates to go up due to longer life span" ...

A reality that few want to talk about .. Obamacare invites 30 million more people into an already broken system.

Is America running out of doctors?
ObamaCare is set to expand the number of insured Americans, but an apparent shortage of doctors could make it difficult to treat them all

Doctor Shortage Likely to Worsen With Health Law

In the Inland Empire, an economically depressed region in Southern California, President Obama’s health care law is expected to extend insurance coverage to more than 300,000 people by 2014. But coverage will not necessarily translate into care: Local health experts doubt there will be enough doctors to meet the area’s needs. There are not enough now.

A good healthcare law would have adequately addressed this problem which doctors and organizations like Physicians for National Health Program were screaming about.
Well you can blame the AMA and our University system for that. for years they have kept the numbers of qualified entries into Medical school artificially low and the cost exorbitantly high so that they can keep the numbers of physicians artificially low so that said physicians can make higher incomes.

Arggghhhhh

Most modern industrialized nations do. We don't. In fact we don't have a health care system at all. What we have in the USA is a trauma/disease therapy system. Preventative health care is the single best approach to reducing cost.

But try to convince southern conservatives that they'd be healthier if they quit smoking, drinking moonshine and having unprotected sex with chickens! That's a hard sell my friend! ;)

"Less smokers causes health insurance rates to go up due to longer life span" ...

Are you anti-math? Go ahead and try to prove that assertion incorrect. Longer living people will definitely drive the cost up and even a fourth grader can understand the math

Were you banned at PF?

The practice of Medicine is a job, fool....like any other job....no one works for free, we all have to eat and take care of necessities and enjoy our lives....
including those that practice medicine...you preach like a evangelical socialist nitwit....ala Apple

I may be a fool but I still know that those people who work for non profit organizations are paid.

They would be paid, it would just be non profit.

Talking about being a fool do you not understand the difference between a non-profit organization and working for one? People who work for non-profit organizations get paid. The organization does not make a profit. Doctors require hospitals in which to work as the average doctor can not afford their own operating room, recovery room, etc, etc, etc. So, when a doctor requires the use of a hospital the hospital charges a rate sufficient to cover the overhead, not an outrageous amount in order for the investors in the hospital to make an outrageous profit.

How old did you say you were? :palm:

I'm not sure how old Bravo is but he sure posts like a kid in someone's basement.

Non profit is nothing more than a tax designation. No profit = shitty healthcare.

How does anyone think there can be first class healthcare while losing money.

It just boges the mind. I already have my concierge service with my doctor set up. He takes no insurance. No Medicaid. No Medicare. Cash only. It is awesome. He even makes housecalls
