It's really despicable to hear them talk about principles they would never whisper about if this were a Southern state. I sort of think it is funny to see Peter King cry. He thought hating on Muslims and trying to deny them the right to practice their faith would make him a part of the good old boys club. But shared hate is a very weak bond and eventually rats turn on each other.
We should, definitely, reconsider Federal flood insurance but not by stiffing people currently effected.
