How liberals justify their immorality

Liberals love to take that which others earn and pawn it off for votes of their various constituencies, whether they be the gays, the blacks, the women, the unions, the hispanics etc. The question that has always perplexed me is how do they live with their obvious immoral behavior.

I think I finally figured it out

1) They first have to hide behind the government and claim "the majority voted" as if that gives them the approval.
2) They have to deny God and morality. Any belief in God and/or the 10 Commandments would forestall this behavior as "thou shalt not steal". Since it is part of the human condition to want to believe in something, they turn to the government as their religion.
3) They have to make a bogey man out of those they seek to steal from. That is why they are always degrading "the rich". It is much the same tactic Hitler did with the Jews. Before he set about gassing and killing them, he started a massive propaganda campaign blaming all of German ills on the Jews so that they would not balk at his more sinister aims. This is how the left treats those they disagree with politically

And conservatives don't do this? Funny, I seem to recall seeing this same excuse for supporting the ban on gay marriages. I also recall seeing the claim that the majority of Americans being christian as a reason to support prayer in schools.

The use of the 10 commandments in our gov't is blatantly against the US Constitution. The fact that conservatives also steal, and do so while claiming the 10 commandments should be allowed in prominent places within our legal system makes for some serious hypocrisy. They also ignore the commandments against false witness, adultery and murder.

Once again, you wish to point fingers at liberals for doing something that the conservatives do all too well. Many conservatives have tried to make all muslims the "boogeyman". If I am not mistaken, you have made posts concerning gays having AIDS, like it is the only source and all gays are diseased. And the numerous posts showing bigotry towards minority races and women are ample evidence you wish to make them an "enemy".

I call them marxists.

The word liberal would be deceiving.

I dont have to justify anything you or your right wing cronies.Nor do have have to bow to what you believe to be moral or not.

I find it amusing that the same conservatives who blast the liberals for ignoring the US Constitution are the ones who want to see the 10 Commandments in prominent places in our gov't.

Bush and Conservatives supported taxing us and spending the money on faith based initiatives. Social conservatives are opposed to capitalism and instead support a form of fascism.

is there anywhere in the US Constitution that prohibits a display of the commandments in or near govt buildings?

If it is part of a larger display, as in not selecting one faith for the state, there is not. But most conservatives I have seen argue in favor of the 10 Commandments being on display do not make the argument for multiple faiths, just the one that demands no others be allowed, demands that the holy days for that faith be honored, ect.

maybe my memory is failing me, but let me read the 1st Amendment again.....

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;

so I need to know, is simply displaying the commandments a law that establishes a religion or prohibits the free exercise thereof? there's no law that mandates bowing before the commandments, or adhering to them, is there? Is there a law that prohibits anyone from exercising another religion?

When the 10 Commandments are the sole religious display it has the effect of establishing a state religion. That it is displayed an no other religion has anything on display is, as has been ruled by SCOTUS, unacceptable.

what SCOTUS case has said that? I'm aware of several circuits, but never scotus.

In Stone v. Graham.

http://www.oyez.org/cases/1980-1989/1980/1980_80_321

" The Court found that the requirement that the Ten Commandments be posted "had no secular legislative purpose" and was "plainly religious in nature." The Court noted that the Commandments did not confine themselves to arguably secular matters (such as murder, stealing, etc.), but rather concerned matters such as the worship of God and the observance of the Sabbath Day."
