Number 5 is pretty sick.
I would limit campaigning to 6 months and completely ban all financial contributions. All major parties, those that can show a certain level of support would be allowed a certain amount of national tv time and a certain amount of local tv time and no more. Newspapers would be permitted to carry a certain number of ads.
Editorial content would be openly competetive.
That woul concentrate the minds and allow any president a full term in which to carry out his policies.
Tv companies would have to become more professional and a lot more business minded without the huge deposits of cash every four years.

Limit, limit, ban, ban, restrict. You cover new ground every day.

But I come from a society that seldom kills children (Note to the Phoenix fool: No I do not come from China.) You clearly value a limitless, child killing, war mongering, ill educated society. That is your choice. Enjoy.

You value an autocratic, domineering, stifling society. Have fun with that, and have a relatively content New Year (assuming that you have gained approval to do so).

You clearly do not understand.
I value a peaceful society where each person can pursue his or her particular brand of happiness provided that that pursuance does not prevent others from pursuing their happiness. Your freedom kills people. Mine enjoys their company.
Enjoy your ignorance, it is all you have.
If you want New Year to be happy why can't you want the other 364 days to also be happy. Two faced.

I don't know how others interpret it, but I have always meant Happy New Year to be the entire year, and not just the one day. The occasion of New Year's Day is just an opportunity to remember to wish it, and to celebrate.

Peacefulness resides within the individual, and cannot be nurtured via law. There are a lot of selfish people, and a lot of people who are simply unpleasant, and these people cannot generally be reasoned with or appealed to.

If individuals refuse to be peacable then the law must be ready to step in. That is not autocracy it is protection of the good against the bad.
