IF we continue over the fiscal cliff will unemployment decrease?

What we'll do is simply pass retroactive tax rates. The whole "cliff" rubbish is a self-created issue. Politicos fearful of losing their jobs if they do the right thing and make necessary cuts punted. There is nothing at all that seals this in stone making it so we can change nothing about it.

Thankfully, cap gains goes to the same rates as an individual's marginal rate. Tax money collected will create jobs on infrastructure. Something that should have been done years ago.

.Were not going over the fiscal cliff. Thats just a scare tactic. A last minute deal will happen as it always does.then they can say they saved the day.

Fiscal cliff hyperbole.
We actually passed the point of no return on job exporting and debt, HC costs, etc over a decade ago.

Think they will be shovel ready this time?
Due to Obama's stellar work at job creation, despite republican obstructionism, there isn't the same dire need to stop the hemorrhaging of 800,000 jobs/month.

Likewise, he won't be throwing money at Red state governors, who will not use the money to create jobs.

It is cute that you believe he has been "stellar"

:rofl2:

And record food stamp participation
No doubt due to the 800,000 jobs/month that were being lost as a result of Bush's economic model. Of course, if we hired public sector workers at the rate that Bush did, there would be less people on food stamps.

Do you think that's a good idea?

Of course it is not a good idea. Where do you think the money is going to keep coming from?

If the Bush economic model was so bad, then why was the country at 4.5% unemployment and the deficit at $140 billion the last year the GOP were in control?

Now don't get me wrong. There were lots of things wrong with Bush. But it is mind boggling how you can think his spending and deficits were so bad and yet you simply shrug off that which Obama does.

Here would be a good start with getting spending under control. Do away with baseline budgeting
