In 1953 that top tax bracket affected about 250 people. Yes, 250. Not million, not thousand. two hundred fifty people. However, if you are willing to return to the spending levels of the 50s, I will happily help you reset those tax brackets.

I thought the '60 were the counterculture years and the Summer of Love not a time of 'traditional values'?

As long as we can return to the cost levels of the 50's it would all be a wash.

Would still be good we had more purchasing power bck then and our economy was manufacturing based not conumer spending based, plus we were a creditor nation.

Of course I am just speaking from an economic perspective.

The Drive-ins. The warm summer nights. Peggy-Sue..........oops. :o

ON the minus side.
Polio,
Avg male life expectancy about 60,
No heart surgery or bypass, etc.
No real treatment for cancer.
Lower unwed pregnancy rates.

No internet...ohh that might be a plus though ;)

Love the Beaver and the lifestyle represented there. Don't remember much of the 60's but like the school literature from there. We read to my boy every night before bed time. I buy old readers off of eBay ... Many from the 50's and 60's have the best bed time stories in them.

Forgot to say that we still have drive ins here too. They show the OU games there every weekend during season and then show Monday Night Football too. Of course there are regular movies there all summer too. Love it.

I thought this election was all about going FORWARD. yet all the demalquedacrats seem to want to do is go back

Tell ya what libtards. Since you dumb fuckers are all warm and fuzzy for the 1950s, we can go back to the tax rates if we also go back to the abortion laws
