looking forward to obamacare?????

The people of the USA don't want it.
The people of the Soviet Union didnt either.
Look at how completely and utterly shit the UK NHS is.
Filthy hospitals, people ejected on freezing nights in bloodstained pajamas, soiled bed linen used and reused, post op infections are the norm( that's why they ship people out fast, to avoid responsibility.
2 hours after giving birth a new mother will be ejected from the hospital.
You haven't a clue!!

I hope you don't think bad stuff doesn't happen in our hospitals. Here's a link to Glenn Beck-- Glenn Freakin' Beck the right wing icon!--- talking about his bad experience in hospital.

Does, look at douglas Kennedy!
The unionised staff at these hospitals attack those that stand up to union violence.
Often these attacks are committed by providing a crappy service.
Of course in a private hospital you have recourse, legal action for example.

In an NHS hospital you may complain, the response will be an invite to suck the ball bag of the administrator.

The point is, if you're looking for negative incidents you'll find them. If you're looking for positive incidents you'll find them. Nothing you've posted so far leads me to believe that NHS is all bad or all good. It's about individual cases.

The free market works great for some things - not all things.

The biggest issue w/ letting the free market decide anything is that there is really only one decision-maker in the free market, and that is profit. So, when it comes to determining which products are best or employing people, generally, the free market does a fine job.

But when it comes to something like protecting the environment, who would trust the free market to do that? Without regulations, most companies would choose to pollute if they had to spend any significant money not to, because profit is the only motivating factor. It's the same with health insurance - those companies profit more if they can find a way to deny coverage, which is why many of them have claims agents who actually have quotas for coverage denial.
this is patently ridiculous. if a business fails in protecting the environment, they can be fined or sued. If the government fails to protect the environment, they face zero accountability.

They can't be fined or sued if there are no regulations, restrictions & standards. Nice try, though.

Are you serious right now? They could only be fined if they broke a law. You are arguing that laws are un-needed. It is you that is patently ridiculous.

Rasmussen?

LOL.

The election last November was, among other things, a referendum on ObamaCare.

And those who don't want it, lost.
Referendum with a yes/no vote on obamacare then?

Didn't think so.
Obama was elected becsuse people believed his attack ads, the liberal attack ads and all the other lies!!

I loved the warren claim that scott brown was a coward, a traitor and a spousal abuser!!
All the fanatical liberal totalitarians believed it hook line and sinker!

why do you consistently believe that, as a Libertarian, are suggesting that there should be zero laws and regulations???? it really makes you look pathetically nit picky.

dear rune,

you claim to have an IQ in the 99th percentile and i, being of lessor IQ material, would appreciate how your response to STY's statement makes sense. I fear i do not have the IQ material to understand what you meant and why you ignored the premise of STY's statement.

yours truly,

Sir Cannabis of Smokesly

You haven't a clue!!

"Reyes had just been discharged from Kaiser Permanente Bellflower hospital where, after taking a fall, she had been treated for three days. The hospital confirms she was put in a taxi and the driver was told to take her to Skid Row. Why was she wearing little more than a hospital gown? Because the hospital admits they had lost her clothes and sent her away without pants or even shoes. They did, however, give her a diaper.

"The cab came this way. He did a u-turn. Pulled around. And stopped. The driver didn't even get out of the car. The back door opened and this little lady got out in her hospital gown," says Rev. Andy Bales, who runs the Union Rescue Mission, the biggest shelter in Skid Row...

Asked if he was surprised to see Reyes get out of the taxi, Rev. Bales says, "I was stunned and shocked and frozen for a moment. I couldn't believe my eyes. She was really confused." She was confused, investigators later found, because she was suffering from dementia. That shouldn't have come as a surprise to Kaiser hospital officials. Their own medical records show Reyes was disoriented as to time and place. Her speech was slurred, she had extremely high blood pressure, and a persistent cough and fever. Even with these medical problems, they decided to discharge her and sent her to the streets of Skid Row.
