When liberals ask how come Republicans didn't have Bush speak at their convention or how come Romney didn't reference Bush more a big reason is because Bush was such a big spender. It's why they, rightfully, don't want to have a lot to do with him today. So the spending does matter. It's not just focused on Obama.
