Photo of bloodied, broken nosed George Zimmerman released

Riiiiiiiight...

So Zimmerman didn't use excessive force when he used a gun to shoot Martin while fearing for his life...

But Martin DID use excessive force when he used his fists to confront Zimmerman while fearing for his life.

The reason no one grasps your "simple logic" is that it isn't logical at all, just simple...minded.

That's it right there...there is no logic just simple.

Not true. Not if it was Martin in the end following Zimmerman and initiating the confrontation. You simply made up your mind that you are going to believe the above rather than caring about whether it is accurate or not. It may be correct. But it may also turn out to be incorrect.

One of my first weapons classes gave the following scenario:

You're standing in your yard and you see two men walk up and shoot a third man. They then turn and walk away.
What are you legally allowed to do and can you shoot them?

The answer depends on what they do next.
If they continue to walk away, you can not shoot them and if you persue them and they feel threatened, then they have the leagal right to defend themselves.
If they turn and make a motion that makes you believe they are going to shoot the 3rd person again, then yes you can legally shoot at them.

There is a very fine line between when someone is the aggressor and when the "victim" might become the aggressor. The situation works in the reverse also; because an aggressor can become the victim, depending on the behavior of all parties involved.

If you're in a bar and someone punches you in the face, you have the right to defend yourself; but if you knock them down, you can't legally stomp a mudhole in their ass.

Different angles, different backgrounds.

Umm ... same night, different nose.

"GZ can claim he was fearful for his life, especially if his version is true..."

We'll never know what Martin's version is. The only one who does is GZ and he's not going to say anything that makes himself look bad.

so astute. thanks for adding nothing as usual.

btw sedan...stop lying that it was photoshopped. they are clearly different photos and the photo was released as EVIDENCE by the PROSECUTION

The entire notion of arguing for 'stand your ground' as a defense for Zimmerman when he initiated the entire encounter is bogus. The law sucks and gives nutters an excuse, an easy excuse to act out.
whaaaa, your definition of 'initiated' is crap. If following someone is initiating confrontation, i'd have shot a hundred people by now.

you have a seriously warped view of reality

what state is that? here in TX, you can stop those two from walking away, using lethal force if necessary.

What factual story...this is all pre-trial. You seem to think GZ can make a claim to 'stand your ground'....I think your out of your mind. Zimmerman is the only one left with a voice...he killed the person who might have something different to say.

you really can't follow conversations or logic. i never mentioned anything about excessive force when he shot him. the conversation was SOLELY about whether someone following someone can feel threatened if the person they are following confronts them. and the reality is, YES they can.

what a dumbass you are.

Of course you never mentioned excessive force Zimmerman used when shooting Martin...why call attention to the idiotic double standard at the heart of your argument?

um, GZ can in fact make that claim

:palm:

what double standard? be specific or admit you're lying again.

btw...why is it you can't address my logic on the "following" conversation and instead have to make shit up about something i never talked about?

you seem to forget the initial story given to the press BY THE COPS!!! but these cops are bad because they didn't give you what you wanted to hear...
