I was operating under the assumption that Wise Old Man was an old poster under a new name. It's actually a new poster? I think the type of people this place attracts is quite telling. Is it just me or do we end up with the dregs and detritus that get kicked out of every other place they post?

I don't know, the mods are very hush hush about these things. The guy called me that word days ago and I have had him on IA since, but I had thought due to his overt and graphic hostility he was an old poster. But I'm not sure and I have been wondering the same thing - where are all of these animals coming from??? Who is directing them here? But yeah, they find a home alright.

I thought it was an old poster under a new name as well. Seems to be a lot of that on this site. (Not asking this in a negative way) What type of, if any, advertising do you do for this site Damo? How would someone new actually find this site?

I have had these kinds of thoughts about the board. There are definitely some real delinquents on here.

Still, I don't see much in the way of higher quality out there. Any board you go to has that "element." SNL does a pretty funny spoof on that once in awhile.

I don't go to other boards, just blogs. They don't have that stuff on the blogs I visit. I guess I am spoiled by the old netscape boards. They were civilized until aol took over and axed the mods.

Your vitriolic attitude is not much better. Constantly proclaiming people are racists/sexists/misogynists etc... in many cases based on nothing but the fact that they disagree with you.

We have laws about felons having guns, on the other hand maybe if that young lady would have had her own she could have defended herself. Having said that, take guns away from law abiding citizens, criminals will still find a way to get them.

If someone comes on with a new handle and a very low post count and then starts getting in arguments and name calling with people like they've known them for years it's a pretty clear sign it's a regular.

Usually. But lately we seem to be getting the kind of dregs who just call women that name, and black people other names, as a matter of course. That is how they interact with women and minorities. So it's become kinda hard to tell who is new and who isn't.
