America is great. We are not the only great nation, but we are great. If you want me to quantify that for you it will be a task because htere are 1000's of examples. I guess if you boil it down we are one of the best when it comes to class mobility, meaning that its still possable to be born into a lower class and make it to a higher one. Our universal education is one of the most all encompassing in the world, very few are left out. This is all accomplished in a huge nation with great diversity.
Sure Sweeden is able to accomplish much of what we are able to accomplish, but thats a nation with long standing wealth that has stayed out of almost all major conflict and has very little immigration of families and cultures that start from scratch. If you look at where our people came from and the lack of wealth that we started with and what we have now, its amazing.
Our best days are still ahead of us, especally if we can stay out unnecessary forign entanglements and foster good will amung the world of nations without trying to dominate them. If we can prevent a dominant wealthy class that is able to hold its wealth not by hard work but by inheritance, if we can continue to create an enviroment where your intelegence and work ethic dictate where you are in society as opposed to an enviroment that allows you to be where you are in society because of who your parents were.
