Boehner ‘flabbergasted’ by Geithner offer

LOL Well what the hell did the stupid son of a bitch expect? He had a chance to accept a tax hike generating 800 billion over ten years. He flat our refused. He accepted a compromise deal of 400 billion over 10 years which he at first accepted than declined due to pressure from tea baggers.

So what does he expect President Obama to do? "Oh gee I won the election with a clear mandate to increase taxes for the wealthy and now I'm supposed to get on my knees and kiss your ass till you smile?

Face it Boehner and congressional tea baggers fucked up. They should have taken the offer they had for 400 billion. Now they'll be lucky to get 800 billion.

So to answer Boehner's question "Fucking "A" right were serious."

400 billion in reductions is nothing. Obama and his posse are going to have to show some real reductions or over the cliff we go and then those entitlements will cease.
 
I hope the Repubs vote present and let them do whatever they want to do, or let ALL the tax cuts expire. In fact, I think that would a good thing. We're all in this together. Why shouldn't everyone have to pay?

I would like to see the fiscal cliff realized with all entitlements stopping immediately

That's complete and total bullshit. Medicare and SS can both be fixed for the next 75 years by simply raising the payroll tax cap to $150,000 and increasing the payroll tax by 1%. Ermegherd! That would just devestate the economy! [/sarcasm]. The real spending cuts are going to have to come from defense spending. With one immoral war eliminated and a second war being ended the justification for defense spending at its current level simply isn't there. As for going over the cliff. Go ahead, be my guest. :)

Boehner could drink a 6 pack a night and by Ohio district 6 standards he's just a social drinker. Now if he drank like Wacko.......

I'd take the hit. I mean for christ sakes were talking about returning to tax rates as they were during the Clinton administration and I didn't exactly starve back then. In fact, it was the most prosperous era of my life.

I can imagine that that time may have been difficult times for GED's, like you, in the trailer park where you live but for those of us productive people with a real education they we're pretty damned good times. Largest post war growth in the US economy ever. If you had more than a GED or a sociology degree they we're good times indeed. In fact....even though Republicans have tried their best to fuck things up for everyone who isn't in the top 1 or 2 percent, there's still pretty good if you have a real education and you know how to do productive work but I realise that's just not the way it is in your trailer park and I sympathise with your adversity.

Tax rates were not responsible for the success during the Clinton years. We had an entire new, booming industry and employment was high.

To raise taxes during such a poverty-ridden time in our history will be the death knell.
