I do think making gambling legal is a bad thing. That doesn't mean I think states should outlaw it. You should try thinking some time.

I made two factual statements that you obviously can't refute

1) states used education and in some cases healthcare for the elderly as justification for legal gambling

2) it is the people who can least likely afford it who get sucked into gambling and its destructive effects.

Those are facts. You are stupd

You can be adult about it and make the decision that actually deals with the reality that is created by these facts or you can pretend you are the moral police and act like you have the right to tell people how to live.



The best way to deal with a behavior that will never dissapear from the realms of man is to deal with it like an adult.

Regulate it wisely and tax it greatly.

Then use the tax revenue to solve the problems that create it and or result from it.



Its called being smart.

Whether it's politicians or lao it doesn't change the meaning of what I said. But that aside I made a mistake. But I guess in your world if someone makes a mistake that means they are lying. I definitely aspire to be like you and get nothing wrong, ever, but alas I find myself getting things wrong all the time still. In fact I gave someone wrong directions yesterday, not on purpose, so I lied there as well.

I give you my promise Desh that I will try to be perfect like you and never make a mistake, I mean lie, again. If I was to be honest with myself I would say I'm going to make a mistake, I mean lie, again but until then I will be perfect.

Desh, the Democratic Party has historically failed ideas. That's why Carter lost in 1980, and Reagan came in and saved the day. That's why, notwithstanding the fact that the GOP had it's historically periodic horrible president in Bush II, after Obama gets through destroying the economy in every way imaginable, the Dems will become anathema to the voting public for quite some time.

You can call me a liar, but that won't stop Obama from completely laying waste to the economy over the next four years.

People how have never lived here often dont understand.

They cant imagine getting up in the morning and grabbing a coffee and sitting on the back porch barefoot and watching the sun come up in december.


They just cant imagine just how much better life is when the weather makes your life so very easy.

They fool themselves by saying things like "oh I would miss the seasons".


You would understand if you lived here that not only is it pleasent to sit on your back porch with a cup of coffee barefoot in december but its WAY cheaper too.
