Yes, you're right. However, considering government medical was first being suggested in 1912, exactly 100 years ago, who do you think is going to do a better job; Congress or an independent board?

Those folks who stipulated an independent board are well aware of what happens in countries with government medical, Canada being one of them. Those vulture capitalists try anything to get a piece of the medical pie.

I can actually agree, government medical will suck, but then we told you that long ago.....a multi hundred member 'board' like Congress would be less likely to do fuck it up with

partisan decisions that will include their favorite mo.....pit one group against another and make decisions by considering where they will influence the most votes to keep them in power.

There is not one country that has reverted to the "pay or suffer" system once implementing a government medical plan. While government is involved in ObamaCare it is far from being a true "government plan" or one-payer or "universal" plan. A change in the make-up of Congress could easily throw a wrench into the gears so I can understand the need for a committee to be in charge for a while. When Congress is ready to implement a full plan I'm sure they'll get the super majority necessary.

But you didn't make the claim that our defense would be weakened by cuts to military spending. You cited jobs as your issue.

Now really pinhead, I think Obama knows what the debt ceiling is....even if his quote does clearly say that raising it is failure of leadership and reckless fiscal policy, a burden on our grandchildren, and weakens the nation.....he still wants to raise it now that hes in charge.....
If a Republican was president, he would be repeating that quote over and over on MSNBC...........

the obvious point of my post is to highlight his hypocrisy on this, even though we all know he, like most Democrats are hypocrites from head to toe.
