Helping the less fortunate has nothing to do with our govt. The US govt was not set up to be a charity organization. You're confused.

it means to keep the limitations and restrictions to a minimum in order for people to PURSUE (read this as 'keeping the fruits of their labors') happiness. It doesn't mean that the federal government can ignore the restrictions applied to them in order to make everyones life easier.

I never said Gates didn't work. As I noted it's reasonable to conclude other people were working in their garage or basement at the same time he was tinkering with computers. While most of the other people never earned a dime from computers what hard work did Gates do that paid over a billion dollars? What hours did he work? What was his rate per hour?
