Dixie - In Memoriam

Well.... we don't really know, since it hasn't ever happened in America, but we're about to find out.
Post-analysis of the election shows, the Democrats really had no coherent message, other than... Obama is black, and those opposed to him are racists. The traditional parameters we have always measured first-term presidents by, went out the window, and his supporters simply did not care... Vote for Obama to Spite the Racists... that was the campaign theme. Obama himself even called it "revenge" voting. Revenge for what? Wye, years of repression by the white man, the old rich greedy capitalist white man, who made his fortune on the backs of the slaves and discriminated-against black people. For the Obama supporter, this election was about "revenge" on the old rich white racist people.
So what is the policy plan? Well, it's more of the same claptrap liberals have spewed for years. Tax the rich. Tax corporations. Expand the Welfare State! That's what is going to solve the massive debt problem and sagging economy. Of course, as the problems arise, we can expect more czars to be appointed, to have even more un-elected control over our lives, but that is part of the plan. We have to enslave ourselves to government run by non-racist liberals, that's the only way to truly avenge what has happened in history.
Now, I have to say, it came as a complete shock to me that I am a racist. I am mostly Native American, Cherokee and Choctaw, with some Asian and Creole, and a touch of white European peasant (Black Dutch). I guess the Black Dutch is where my racism comes from? In spite of being persecuted and ran out of Europe for being poor, my ancestors obviously hated black people, because I didn't vote for Obama. My mother risked her life to march with Dr. King in the 60s, but at 73, she must come to terms with her repressed racism, because she also didn't vote for Obama. Sorry Mom, you're a racist.
You will notice that my moniker is "Dixie" and it's not the harmlessly misplaced female proper name, but the antiquated nickname for the Confederacy. For as long as I've used it, liberals have called me a racist. I have explained that it came about from the fact that I once ran a fan site for Alabama football, and a line in their fight song, was the name of the site. (Dixie's Football Pride) When I first put the site online, I began getting occasional complaints, people felt it inappropriate, in poor taste, "racist." I picked the name for the site in honor of my two ancestors who fought and died in the War Between the States. I love to study the untold stories of the Civil War, things that dispel many myths, and tend to contradict the terrible stereotypes. But beyond that, there was an underlying reason I have continued using the moniker, for as long as I've had a presence on political message boards. It comes from a friend I had in high school, my best friend, actually. He is a black guy, but he was known for wearing a confederate flag doo-rag... back when doo-rags were just bandannas. I was curious as to why a black guy was wearing such a symbol of contention on his head, so I asked him about it. He explained, "It's how I can tell what kind of heart people have, if they are truly non-prejudice and judgmental, they never say a word about the flag." Yes, it's a bit of "reverse psychology" at play. I always thought it was very clever, so I adopted the same idea with my nickname. It has absolutely nothing to do with who I am or what's in my heart, regarding race relations or racism.
That said, I have endured an endless barrage of bashing and trashing, accusations and insinuations, all based off "Dixie" and being from Alabama. For me, it is a normal day to be accused on a message board of being racist, based on nothing I've said, but the fact that I have "Dixie" as my moniker, or a rebel flag in my avatar. So I have become well-conditioned in my 17 years of message boarding. It simply makes me laugh out loud, when some idiot takes my bait and hurls a baseless prejudiced insult at me, based on a stereotype. What am I prattling on about here? Well, it's just the thought that I believe my fellow conservatives are going to have to adopt my outlook on this, and condition themselves to laugh at these judgmental fools. If you're going to live with the consequences of an election won on spite, you'll need to do this.
