Petraeus resigns......screwing on the side....

He's also one of the ultra religious Dominionists who have been pushing religion on our troops. How fitting.

Mr. Broadwell v. Gen. Petraeus. And you boys think Holly's a dog? Oh, the rationalizations.

This article may have nailed it!!

Well, wouldn’t you know it! David Petraeus, the top dog in the CIA, has resigned over an extramarital affair. You wouldn’t really expect this to happen at an agency that is known for its covert operations and sending drones to whack people indiscriminately. Not forgetting, of course, organising coups and waterboarding terror suspects.

But we are told that General Petraeus was caught with his pants down, by the FBI of all people, and it was supposedly considered such a big thing that he stepped down blaming his ‘bad judgement’. What a strange world we live in, eh? Were any endangered exotic animals involved during sexual intercourse involving the general and his biographer? But bestiality these days is viewed with tolerance by the liberal elite that sets the standards of acceptable behaviour. In fact, just you wait till the Anything Goes Mafia comes up with some slick explanation that animals have rights as well and can, if they choose, have sex with humans. Who obviously have their rights to shag some willing beast.

No, it couldn’t have been the animals. And it couldn’t have been group sex either as this sort of recreational activity is now seen as a healthy thing among consenting adults. Swingers command the respect of the liberal left and are portrayed as basically good eggs out for a bit of harmless fun.

But could it have been that drugs were involved during intercourse? Well, that is something that no one considers a problem anymore. In fact, if you look at Hollywood and its movies all the cool dudes in them like a bit of weed and a shot up the vein. Some of the best loved actors and actresses jump at the chance of playing junkies and getting all the praise and awards for it. So no, General Petraeus could not have been forced out for that sort of thing.

Serious commentators with fancy comb-overs who claim to know things say that Mr Petraeus was pushed out for failing to predict the attack on the American consulate in Benghazi in Libya, which resulted in four Americans getting killed, including the much loved US ambassador. And others add that Syria wasn’t really the CIA’s finest hour and all its efforts to oust President al Assad have failed miserably.

But all this is rubbish, of course, because in the past two decades most intelligence services failed to predict and prevent all sorts of calamities, the most famous one being the 2008 financial crash that pretty much everyone could see coming, apart from the spooks, politicians and central bankers. The CIA, as any other secret service, has to monitor the banks and big corporations which are always plotting against the rest and it failed spectacularly on that occasion. And yet, heads did not roll and no one was reprimanded.

So the CIA’s failures could not have been the reason General Petraeus went. It must have been something else. Such as him saying something politically incorrect: for example that he didn’t approve of gay marriages within the agency. Now that would have been lethal. Especially as President Barack Obama has made it clear that he supports gay marriage, as the proper Christian that he is. So anyone who has doubts on the subject obviously can’t fit into Team Obama. Just as there is no place for people in that team who object to positive discrimination and making abortions easy peasy.

So I figure General Petraeus said something very politically incorrect and the FBI picked it up and reported to the very top. No big deal, though, as the General was very overrated: consider that he presided over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and look at the mess both countries are in now.

Can somebody explain to me why this is a big deal? So what if he has a little action on the side, why is it anybody's business?

Cantors office is involved with this.

From what I've read there was an investigation because this 'author' made serious threats to a woman in Petreus' life and reported it to the FBI. Their investigation was to determine if his email account at the CIA had been hacked and they found the emails the two had exchanged...and the relationship. Beyond that I don't know what this story is about and don't care except that Petreus is a dominionist and pushes his brand on religion on the military (ala Rumsfeld) and there have been other claims about him regarding Iraq/Afghanistan.

It makes for fizzy brains pointing to more plots to 'hide' Obamas failure in the 911 attack. More nonsense.

I expect we'll discover more as time goes on...Fox nooze will blather daily about their 'views'..

What a disgusting screed...

I found an interesting tidbit...

Paula Broadwell, the biographer who had an affair with CIA Director David Petraeus, sent threatening emails to the State Department's liaison to the military's Joint Special Operations Command, a senior military official told the Associated Press. The emails from Broadwell to the official, Jill Kelley of Tampa, Fla., triggered the FBI investigation that led to the discovery of the affair.

i don't get it. they both look like dudes. what is your point?

She's very pretty, her husband's cute and Petraeus is plain. She's 20 years younger than him. If Petraeus was wearing auto mechanic coveralls instead of a military uniform covered with fruit salad, she wouldn't be giving him the time of day. Anybody who thinks it's love, and that includes Petraeus, has rocks in his head.

Right? That is some serious truth right there.
