We've been over this a dozen times. When one travels to a country that has few or no social programs they are advised to stay near the resort. Why? Because people suffering poverty are more likely to rob others. You may find it difficult to believe but people who are hungry/poor do tend to steal from others who do have food/money. It also leads to official corruption as a bribe is always welcome. The result is a fragmented and/or authoritarian society. That's why it's in ones self-interest not to support policies that result in such societies.

Is that so difficult to understand?

if dems were in charge of congress, how can you put the blame solely on repubs?

Not necessarily. The people didn't realize just how bad the Repubs had screwed up. They expected all the years of Repub incompetence to be fixed in two years.

The wars, the gross manipulation of information, the idea of keeping the costs separate while robbing funds needed for social programs....the Congress as well as the people were led down the garden path. Regardless of how one slices it we all saw the result after eight years of a Repub Administration. They led the country to the edge of the cliff.

Not more welfare. More equality. It's about equality. As I've explained numerous times poverty is the relationship between people, not a specific amount of money.

This is why you are so retarded. In spite of society's obviously correct goal to treat all people equally, there will never be equality. People are created equal, but they do not perform equally. When you try and make them all have the same equal outcome, all will suffer.

A simple analogy is a foot race. There will be one winner, one loser, and lots of folks in the middle. Hobble the winner and you've done nothing to help the loser. Give the loser an advantage and he'll never be seen by his fellow competitors as equal.

Poor analogy. People are not created equal. The "equal idea" is equality before the law which is a joke in itself considering the best (ie: most expensive) lawyer usually wins. If people were equal they would perform equally well.

Just common sense, DY.
