Politics aside, if thats possable, what do you think?

He was a moderate governor of Mass. He was a conservative Republican nominee for president. Now he is a liberal canidate for President. Thats my take, but the question is how will he govern if elected?

Will he raise taxes? Will he cut taxes even further. Will he move to prohibit abortion? What will his appointments be? Will he appoint John Bolton Secretary of State or a moderate?

These are legit questions and it concerns me that we dont know the answers.

He is a right-leaning moderate. I would say that he is conservative, but not a conservative.

He will do nothing to restrict a woman's right to choose. He will not raise taxes. As for judicial appointments, my guess is he will appoint strict constructionists.

He is a used car salesmen who will say anything he has to to get you to buy the lemon he is selling!

Don't know and don't care. He wasn't my choice in the primary. I have the luxury of making a protest vote as Maobama will lose my state handily.

As I look at the political landscape, it is more and more clear that Maobama loses and loses big on election day. You will notice that he is defending turf and not even trying to contest traditional GOP turf. He is toast. The only question is how Billy Clinton will enjoy having the community organizer vying for attention as a post presidential pain in the ass.

True but he's just using the old Nixon axiom of "run to the right during the primaries and run to the center during the election."

Mitt is really a technocrat and not an ideologue. My impression is that if he wins he will govern well and responsibly, despite any campaign rhetoric and he will hugely frustrate the conservative base who will be pissed if he doesn't turn the clock back to 1824 the day after his innauguration.

Oh we are so much going to have fun with you if Obama wins. Looking good that he will too. :)

Good then you won't mind betting since you are so certain. A month long perma ban from JPP for the loser? Or how about the loser has to carry the signature of choice of the winner?

Your call. Are you willing to bet? If not, your opinion don't mean shit.

The bold are mutually exclusive and cannot both be true.

I think you are correct. I think he will be as he was as governor in Massachutes, and his base will be as disappointed with him as the base was with Obama. Mitt will not be conservative enough. I think he will have as many problems with the Teabaggers as Obama.

The fact remains that the Supreme Court has been controlled by strict constructionists a couple times since Roe v Wade, and is currently controlled by strict constructionists. Roe v Wade isn't going anywhere. This is simply a scare tactic used by the radical left.

In Mitt Romney’s America, Washington exists to serve the interests of Wall Street. Romney approaches Wall Street with a blind eye towards its past missteps and puts full faith in the industry’s ability to police itself and act in the best interest of the country. While Romney was a strong supporter of the Wall Street bailout, he opposes tough new rules to stop Wall Street excesses from causing another crisis.

Along the campaign trail, Romney has frequently railed against the new financial regulation bill and has gone on the record as favoring its repeal. The former investment banker has time and again cited the “over-regulation and burden” of financial regulation and claimed that it “caused [Wall Street] to retreat.” Gone from his stump speech is any mention of the catastrophic collapse of our financial system, the millions of middle class jobs it took with it, and the need to ensure ordinary Americans that Wall Street will never again be allowed to gamble away their retirement accounts...

In Mitt Romney’s America, our country’s wealthiest 1% can expect to have a best friend and confidant in the White House while the rest of the country struggles through economic hardship. Time and again Romney has shown himself to stand firmly on the side of big business and either unable or unwilling to relate to the concerns of regular Americans...

While Romney will work to keep his own tax rate low, he opposed extending the payroll tax cut that benefits working Americans. The result would be a tax increase of about $1000 for hardworking Americans.

In his private sector career, Romney’s actions show his only concern was profit for himself and other multi-millionaire investors – the impact on American jobs was not even considered. A President with that mindset would be dangerous for American workers.

Romney has promised extreme conservatives to move the Supreme Court even further to the right than it already is. When questioned, Mitt Romney has said that “I would have favored justices like Roberts and Alito, Scalia and Thomas,” and has commented that he most identifies with Justice Roberts. Romney referred to Sonya Sotomayor’s nomination as “troubling” and was open to the idea of filibustering her. With Romney’s appointments, a woman’s right to choose could be overturned, workers and consumers would find themselves at an even greater legal disadvantage, environmental laws would be threatened, and protections for minorities in America could be in jeopardy.

Romney has wasted no time in lending support and encouragement to his party’s efforts in Congress that would make college even less affordable for middle class families. He dutifully endorsed the budget offered by Congressman Paul Ryan and said his own plan was “on the same page.”

a Romney Administration would see a return to the Dick Cheney precedent—a system where policies on energy and the environment are written by the executives and lobbyists of oil companies and other industries supposedly regulated by the Administration...

Romney a moderate, liberal or a conservative? I don't think so. His govt will be run for the benefit of multinational corporations, the wealthy, the military industrial complex and most importantly the temple. Romney is the mouthpiece for the radical Fascist right.

Politicians never campaign in states that are blue or red outside of the primary season. It's just a fact, neither of them do, they both focus on swing states. Also I don't know why you say he'll lose by a lot. The polls are close, with Obama leading slightly. If he loses it will be very close. I don't know what polls you are referencing.

the answer to your title question is YES

I don't think there is any way of really predicting what kind of a president he will be. In Mass he was a moderate, in the primary he was a severe conservative and starting at the first debate he was once again moderate. He will overall likely be more moderate but I also think that he will have to answer to his base in 2016 if he's too moderate. HE might have wonderful ideas and beliefs but I do not know what he will do to try to be appealing to a group I find extremely unsound at times. It's not the republicans I have a problem with it's the rape is God's way and evolution is a lie bunch at the extreme end of the spectrum. Also you have the fact that he is extremely vague which makes it all the more unpredictable. I gave him an honest chance but its the reason he lost my vote.
