Getting tighter...

tell us WHY the tea party has NO PROBLEM with robmoney becoming a bleedig heart liberal in debates?

1) people dont view foreign policy as a high priority this year. they dont care about it. it's a non-issue
2) some of the tea party did have a problem. I have some conservatives on my twitter feed and they were pissed the fuck off that he romney wasn't attacking more.

In anycase:

Romney is viewed better on the economy, better on jobs, better on taxes.

And thus better than obama for those voters.

ROFLMAO... you should actually read up on slavery Desh.

Did you know that in the 16th-18th centuries it was Europeans that were captured and made slaves in Northern Africa?

did you know the Mayans captured and enslaved rivals to provide them with slave labor and human sacrifices?

Did you know that in Africa, they had slaves of African decent as well?

Did you know that the African slaves that came to the US were largely captured and sold by other Africans?

Somehow I doubt you know much of anything about slavery. Slavery was an is wrong. We all know that. But to pretend that because slavery happened in the US to Africans that somehow means 'white' people aren't able to recognize racism is quite simply... fucking retarded.

bump for Desh the racist.

Romney did great last night, and followed a simple plan:

1-Dont scare anybody

2-Look presidential

3-Dont turn off female voters by attacks on Obama

He did those three things, and despite 'losing' the debate, he helped his long term outlook.

Today's polls still trending to Romney, and as I have said for weeks, more likelihood that Pennsylvania is in play

Look Presidential, I think that is so hilarious! They keep maKing this statement as if it matters.

So people of 'color' who do vote for Republicans, who run as Republicans... tell us Desh... how are they treated by YOUR party?

Shall we ask Stacey Dash? Colin Powell? Condelezza Rice? Clarence Thomas?

Just ask Poet and you'll get a good idea of how they are treated; seeing as how he loved to throw around comments like "Uncle Tom, Oreo, House Nigger, etc".

Based on the fact that most people surround themselves with people who think the same way they do.

Actually, I was just thinking about this the other day. I agree with Q_Q, most of my personal friends are liberal. The funny thing is, the two most politically active conservative friends I have, are both GAY! Go figure? But now, I am probably the exception and not the rule, I really do try to keep my political views to myself away from here. I do have a couple of liberal friends who know I am a conservative and get some sick gratification out of pushing my buttons, or trying to. I generally just tell them "I'm not going there, sorry.. change subjects!"

perception absolutely matters. 80-90% of the population does not pay attention to most of the details. 40% vote Dem no matter what, 40% vote Rep no matter what, 10-15% vote on perception, 5% vote on policy.

I think that is a good thing, women don't only vote as a huge vagina/uterus, they actually have more than one issue. Here we've gotten all the Obama supporter ads with "vote like your female parts depend on it", I don't think it is helping them gain supporters though, most women I know are pissed that they are thought of as voting as a vagina by these ads, not as a person. And before some idiot comes in here and says I only know R women, they have no idea... I work in a place where I have maybe 5 out of 100 people who aren't a D and in the Union, most of the people I spend the most time with are not republican.

Is this what you wanted me to see SF?

How'd this work out for you btw???

I think you hit on something here, and I don't think it will really be acknowledged until after the election. I happen to personally know some strong independent women across America, who are certainly not "right wing" in their general views, but have been really turned off by the Democrat's message that Romney "won't stand up for women." As one of them put it, "I don't want a president to 'stand up' for me as a woman, I don't need to be stood up for, I need a fair shot and to be judged on merit of my ability and nothing more." I think it has offended many women, to have Democrats patronize them like this, and try and make the election about "women's issues." I think the strategy has backfired, as many strong independent women simply aren't looking for the government to give them special treatment.

Hmmm...thanks for bumping this thread SF
