No one is worried about paying more in taxes, especially not people who have the wealth not to NEED a personal income that can be taxed. The concern most conservatives have, is not paying more in taxes, but what a tax increase will do to jobs and the economy. If it collapses and we have no jobs and our homes are worthless, that's going to be a major problem, and people are concerned about that. And if business have increases in expenses and cannot pass those costs off to their customers they have to find other ways to cut expenses.
