I have figured out why Obama did the debate like he did

It was heading towards looking like a blowout.


This way he gets the base feeling like they HAVE to come out to ensure a win.

Did you see how much money Obama jsut raised?
 
It did turn into a fundraising bonanza. I doubt that was the stragety, however there are two more debates and Obama may well come out swinging... People like a come from behind story!

So you think by looking weak and pathetic during the first debate that will energize the Dem base?

I do hope that is indeed his 'strategy' and that he does keep it up. Because it will lose him independents/moderates and undecided voters. It will also have the likely result of discouraging his base.
 
he did his natural thing.

he played the professor.

He was being himself.

when he musters up his emotional level to campaing mode in the next one you will be singing another tune.
 
He did not act like a dope


he answered very calmly and e was being the natural Obama.

the precise and un emotionally driven thinker.

When you have to lie and abondon your previous positions to APPEAR to win you have ONLY appeared to win on the surface level.

obama clearly lost the debate, thus he was the dope. losing something is not a good win to encourage your base. you compared it to a professor...well, a professor does not give a poor lecture to encourage his students.

you do realize that many democrats who are voting for obama said romney clearly one. and i believe a poll said 76% of americans believed romney won.

care to try again? this time with facts.
