Obama's Nobel prize was for being the first black president. That's about it.

I wonder if the first Muslim president can get an academy award for just being the first muslim president.

You are basically correct about the President's Nobel Prize, and what he accomplished was no easy task.

How did "he" acomplish it? Democracy at work here, more than half the voters elected him into office. Maybe we should give 150 million americans a tiny fraction of the prize.

Then of course we'd have to give out prizes when black presidents are elected in Africa... Or would we just give them for white presidents?
Obama got a prize, he got to run the country(further into the ground) for 4 years and live in a big house with lots of armed men doing what he said. The nobel PEACE prize, is supposed to be about PEACE, hence the PEACE prize. Obama by your logic got one for being the right politician when America decided it was time to vote in a black president.
