Jarod said he would bet on Romney on Intrade when his odds to win were at 25%. He said he'd probably win the first debate and his odds would go up and then he would sell. Well I'll be damned, Romney is at 33% as I post this.

Not bad... 25% profit in a couple days... and yes, it is a sign of the apocalypse. Which is not surprising given we all only have a couple more months to live.

I'm sure you've heard the old betting addage 'don't bet with your heart' meaning don't bet on your favorite team just because you like them. There were a couple of people disagreeing with Jarod's assesment because I believe they were betting with their heart. That Jarod was able to step back from the personal and view the situation strictly from a business sense deserves credit.

It's also must be a sign something bad in the world is about to happen.

Same here. I wanted to buy the other day, but didn't send over my docs in time. Oh well. I'm satisfied enough by the fact that Obama got his ass kicked!

Yeah, I got the reference.

Those Mayans were clever to put it so close to our elections and before the inauguration. :)

My prediction is the sun will set on that day and in the morning a new reality will appear.

I read palms too.

Oh cool man. I've been looking for an excuse to leave work early today and go have a pint of Guiness. Sign of the Apocolypse works for me! :)

Actually, Jarod's idea wasn't bad at all. Although I'd hold it a bit longer than a day.
 
So, as you might remember, it was not the first money making idea Ive shared on this web cite that was correct.

I was called dumb a couple years ago when I suggested investing in GE, I did and when I sold several months later had made a very nice profit. In fact it was almost at GE's low when I called it. Supercandy call me lots of names when I first suggested that idea.
