My concept, idea, definition or whatever of a feminist is a person (male or female) who supports equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities for women. I don't know where Condi stands on women's issues. If she speaks, writes or votes in favor of pay equity, women's health issues, workplace equality etc. then she's a feminist in my book. It has nothing to do with hating men, burning bras, or any other stereotypes feminists have been saddled with.

That's what bothers me about the OP of this thread, a woman who's had every advantage is turning against liberal women with bogus comments like "what has happened is that [a legitimate movement for equality] has morphed into a whole political system based on women having special privileges, and the more privileges they have the more entitled they feel.”and assigning her motives to them."

That's not even the definition of feminism and it's insulting that she claims without evidence that feminists like me believe we deserve more entitlements, not the same entitlements men have.

Who has ever spoken against equality, what myself and others rail against is the refusal of some to see that there is another side to the debate. I also disagree with the notion that you have to be liberal to be for equality.

If pointing out that some women are manipulative and file false rape charges then I plead guilty. That you are incapable of seeing that is not my problem, it's yours. Socrtease, who is a lawyer, even gave you chapter and verse from his own experiences but no doubt he was lying as well.

It's not incumbent on him to ask them. He also stated on the rape thread that "every man here agrees with me" after expressing some incredible rape apologia. It was incumbent on the men to man up and inform him that they do not.

It is incumbent on the women to tell them they do not.

He's getting way with a lot because no one but you and i will confront him. So he can cast us as extremist humorless feminists.

Nice try, loser. The issue was never 'are there ever any false rape charges'. You CHOOSE specifically to talk about it during discussions of real rape. Context is everything.
