#1 in Cable doesn't change the reality. ABC/NBC/CBS are a behemoth and are not among those considered Cable News. When they are firmly in the court of one of the parties it tends to limit the information that most Americans get, and most of them choose not to look any further.

Any desperate attempt to grasp a straw... And yeah, it was from 2007, but it doesn't change the numbers. More than 10 times the people watch the networks than all of the cable news combined.

Again, same straw grasped. Reality: Ratings show that 10 times more watch the network news than Cable News. You can keep grasping that same straw but the data simply shows the massive difference between the Networks and Cable and show shy they are listed separately. The most watched show on Cable nets 250K or so viewers, shows on the Networks 7 Million...

I am saying your numbers are suspect due to their age and if you want to be taken seriously then you need some more current ratings figures.

The TV/cable ratings scene has changed dramatically since 06.

YOU cited numbers from 06...it is incumbent upon YOU to prove their relevance today.

I also understand your response is just a standard deflection so you don't have to support your claims.

You wanted more recent data, so I found some. Unfortunately I haven't yet found a conglomeration like the 2007 one with a nice chart that even you can understand.

That wasn't what was asked for there. In my post that was quoted I noted the disparity in Cable viewers even for the most popular shows as compared to the Network News shows. I supplied links that showed shows in the same time slot with the disparity of viewers. However in it you can actually add them up, divide and you will get right around 10% watching the Cable News as opposed to the Network News.

Shoot, let's pretend I am wrong and it is 15%, it still supports my premise.

The reality is most people watch the network news. While regular watchers (those who don't just watch prime time) will tune in to Cable News (because it isn't always available on the Networks) even with that people watch the Network News 10 times more than they watch all of the Cable News combined.

I've provided full numbers, charts, etc. to support my premise while you have provided nothing.

What is your premise? Do you believe, even after being shown the reality, that more people watch Cable News than the Networks?
