California is a diverse state, and some local officials have cheered the greater federal intervention, citing their own frustrated attempts to close dispensaries that were clearly not in compliance with state law. Scott Smith, city attorney for Lake Forest, a town in Orange County, says that after fruitlessly spending $585,000 in legal fees fighting the dozen dispensaries in his town through the zoning board (eight of them in the same strip mall, near a Montessori school), his city contacted the U.S. Attorney for help. Smith points out that none of the dispensaries he challenged in court had even bothered to make the case that they were a non-profit—i.e., in accordance with California law. Others are part of national trafficking operations: The Feds are prosecuting the former owners of a now-defunct Hollywood dispensary for shipping marijuana to New York and Pennsylvania.

There are problems for the system by having drug laws that bump into each other.

Some communities ask for the help from the feds to get crack down on their despensories,


They cant prosicute in some cases and not in others depending on what the communities want.

Man... if I didn't know better, it is almost as if the first Obama term has been somehow morphed into a Republican presidency, and the second Obama term promises to be the Liberal Salvation from that! Do you REALLY believe America is THIS stupid???
 
There is very likely some planning going on to put together a system that can not be easily infilitrated by the Mexican drug gangs.

.. but you and I should have a conversation about your belief that a vote for lesser evil is moral. I know this is the wrong thread for that .. but I've been thinking about that since you've said it. Your thought provded me with the perfect topic in a presentation to the DSA.

I'm not looking for the perfect .. I'm looking for what repesents my values. Neither Obama nor Romney represent my values.

As a citizen, if it isn't there, then I must work and fight to build it.
 
I just am not confirmed in that idea either bac.


helping robmoney get elected would not end the corporate hold on our government though.


Like I said closer to the cluster of choices for the next push.


Life is just like that.

Doing the same thing over and over won't fix it either. That's where the real pretense is to be found.

Everytime you vote for lesser evil it pushes the bar further to the right .. and look no further to what DEMOCRATS have opened the door to for Romney should he win. Everybody who voted for lesser evil opened that door.

There is no morality in voting for lesser evil .. there is only strategy. It is not the moral vote, it is the strategic vote.

War and atrocity does not sit well in me disguised as the strategic thing to do.

It was proper because as you know .. had Obama put forth a sane policy on marijuana the right would have attacked him BECAUSE he is black. You would have seen cartoons and images of black people smoking weed and connecting them to Obama all over the place .. the south in particular.

Be honest .. you know this is true.

i don't think it is true. i have no doubt a small minority would regardless of his stance. but the vast majority would not. all you have is supposition. i have historical data to back me up. anyone can see that by and large the right does not make it about his skin color. this thread is yet another example of the left bringing up his skin color. it was not anyone from the right, rather, someone from the left.

The attacks on voter id is all about skin color.

Falsely raising the issue of welfare is all about skin color.

Perhaps you are so deeply lost in partisanship that an honest answer is not within your ability to either see or provide.
