You've become nothing but a hypocrite.
You ask others to be civil, placed posters on IA (because they used inapropriate language towards you), and chastize others when they don't discuss as you with they would; but then you go and post this and use a denigrating name towards someone.

I guess your grief and meds are now your excuse.
You've become a shell of what you used to be and it's ugly. :palm:

Looks like nobody on the right knows, Don.

They support him, (now that he's their only alternative) but are clueless about their Great White Hope's history, apparently.

Here's why he wasn't reelected as governor:

On December 14, 2005, Romney announced that he would not seek re-election for a second term as governor, fueling speculation about a run for the White House in 2008 in the face of rising dissatisfaction with the Republican Party in the state.

In 2006, his last year as governor, Romney spent all or part of 212 days out of state, laying the foundation for his anticipated presidential campaign...

thank you for the information

His work here was done. First he saved the Olympics, then he saved Mass, then he set off to save the rest of the country.

Of course anyone with such an outsized ego as to think a republican could possibly be elected president after 8 years of Cheney is a moron, so how could you expect him to know that his work actually wasn't done?

I really doubt the people are going to elect a vulture capitalist, personally responsible for the country shedding hundreds of thousands of good manufacturing jobs,
to "bring the jobs back" but I have been surprised before.

By the way, Mitt's method of closing the budget gap in Mass, by slashing social services for the most needy and cutting education, while onerously raising fees
was entirely regressive and didn't affect the rich negatively at all.

Mitt is the essence of a 1%, a tool only for the 1%. His track record in Mass, and his and his company Bain Capital's business record are ample proof.
Mitt doesn't create jobs, he destroys them.
Mitt doesn't create wealth, he takes it.

How could any but the extremely rich think this man would do well for them?

Nov. 2006

34% approve

65% disapprove

Lowest approval of governorship.

Dec. 2006

39% approve

59% disapprove

That is why he didn't seek re election

The FACT that he announced he would NOT run for re-election 1 year earlier (in 2005) seems to have floated way freakin' over your head....

In all the years you've been posting you've actually become even dumber that ever over time....

You would know about getting dumber over time.

The "fact" is that the governorship of Mass is nothing but a stepping stone for republicans, and one term as governor of the greatest state in the union is enough to achieve national prominence. Weld, Celluci and Mitt are all evidence of this.

Weld disapeared from the scene only because he wasn't conservative enough for Trent Lott to approve, Celluci faded off with a cushy ambassadorship to Canada, never to be heard from again. Swift faded away from utter incompetence, and after the disasterous Romney governorship, the state reverted to complete democratic controll, as evidenced by Patrick's handy re-election.

Your complete lack of knowledge of the situation is obvious.

Rmoney announced he would not seek a second term in November 2005....after his approval ratings slid...
