Bill Clinton Kicked Butt Tonight....

It's that ole black magic. I know Bill Clinton is full of shit about some stuff - for instance, Simpson Bowles wtf? And I disagree with plenty of his centrist policies. But I willingly allow myself to fall under his spell because he is just so damn good. And there is no doubt he is one of the best political orators of my lifetime. I put Bill, Mario Cuomo, and Barack Obama as the best I have ever seen. I do believe that Bill is the single best guy ever at explaining wonky shit to regular people. Frankly I think he put an asskicking on both Romney and Ryan that I have high hopes they are not going to recover from. They are the two biggest liars I've ever seen, especially Ryan (yes, even moreso than Romney can you imagine?). We know all politicans lie, including ole Bill himself from time to time, but never have I seen the pathological lying that I see from Paul Ryan who is a very disturbed man. But he just got Bill Clinton's boot up his ass and I don't think that boy is man enough to come back from it.

One thing I don't understand is why Romney ever thought it was a good idea to start denigrating Obama by comparing him to Bill, whom all of a sudden Republicans just adore and admire as a champion of bipartisanship? Who else was in a coma during the 1990's cause I got some stuff to tell you...besides for the fact that Dylan doesn't end up with Brenda a lot of other shit happened too. I think these guys all spend too much time together smelling each other's bodily emissions and remarking on how fragrant they are. The media elite inside DC was all agog over the possibility that CLinton wanted Obama to lose and his speech was going to hurt him. It reminded me of back when I was a young political mind, having cast my first vote in the 1992 election (for Bill of course), and then a few years later the R's impeached him (that really happened, you'd never know it now I know) and Sam Donaldson actually yelled out a question to Bill "Hey Bill are you going to resign". And a few days earlier Donaldson predicted on some talking head show that Bill would resign by the end of the month. I thought he was talking out his ass, no way Bill Clinton was going to resign! And I remember Bill's face when Sam threw that question out - Bill was walking fast not answering questions, ignoring them actually, but when he heard that he turned to give Sam such a "did you hear that crazy fuck pftttt" look that I laughed. I couldn't believe a guy making the money DOnaldson was making couldn't read Bill clinton who was never, ever, going to quit, but I could.

These high paid asshats haven't gotten any better at reading Bill Clinton since then. And I haven't gotten any worse. He did exaclty what I expected him to do. And all of my differences with him still there...I loved every minute of it.
 
Clinton was given a place of honor and was a great asset to the Dem party last night.


Now where was Bush's big speach and why didnt the right see him as an asset.


Maybe that is why the right has been praising clinton?

They want to try and claim him in place of their dead beat Bush.


Hell they always try to bury their own turds and claim the successes of the Democrats.

They are still trying to claim the budget surpluses of the 1990s which were credited by the CBO to the 1993 bra which NOT ONE republican voted for.

Gore had to come vote to push it through.

He sure nailed it didn't he? He addressed every one of Republicans major criticisms and killed it. I mean he's right. The problem with the GOP is arithmatic. Tax cuts for the rich + Increased Military spending = increased revenues? He's right. The problem with today's Republican party is a small clique of powerfull elites who are looking out for themselves. I got mine and "Fuck You!" is their attitude and fuck us they have.

He built up his side, he took steps toward the other side. He showed the stupidity of the tea party tossers and the credibility of the ruling party. All Obama has to do now is to live up to it! I reckon he will.

The thing that is so impressive about Clinton as an orator is that he does such a concise job of building an argument and the whole time you feel like he's talking to you personally. Obama needs to put his ass out on the road. He's the best surrogate Obama has. Republicans made a mistake not putting Bush up as their Keynote speaker to nominate Romney. Say what you want to about the man he has a charisma that electrifies and motivates conservative voters. That was a mistake by either Romney or the RNC (That or Bush just flat refused to do it for whatever the reason.) not to have him out there with his bumbling "aw shucks" appeal.

I hope Bill Clinton will live long enough to be seen at many conventions to come. He is brilliant. While they wont allow the Bushes to appear anywhere close to a RNC, Bill was a roaring success. He will take his place among the greats.

I wish he could do the debates for President Obama.

If Obama wins, I wonder what he owes Bill? Support for Hillary?

That one speech may have just won the election.
 
The only complaints Ive heard from the Republicans on television is that it was too long.

They may have been complaining that it was too big but a lot of people were saying "do that to me one more time!"

Oh I think it will be fairly close on the popular vote but I think Obama will have a sound advantage on the electoral vote. I think it will be around 330 to 200? Something like that.
 
I love it when all they can say is that it was too long. I was up and interested the entire time. I fell asleep during Michelle's and Ann's.
